It’s bad when the player want to nutmeg you. Wait for you to come. You know he will attempt it. But you can’t do nothing. It’s like…you can’t guard me…and it’s humiliating. Most defenders will tacle you as hard as they can after that even if they risk a red card. It’s like Melo saying to you ok..this time « triple threat, i will go to the left, one in and out and shoot »….and you can’t still stop him. It’s like you don’t even exist for him. I don’t know how people react to it in the US. But in football. A defender will come and say to you: if you do that again..i will end you career. No matter what happens to me after.😂😂

I agree its the manner of the nutmeg, if some dude draws you in and then megs you that's worse than, than a fast break instinctual nutmeg, thats just great improvisation by an attacker

I think getting a ball flicked over your head is worse, because 9 times out of 10 you can read its potential and adapt your press/positioning and avoid it, and there is a much bigger statement by the attacker of "I am levels above you". I know when I have sought to go at a player mind game style, id rather flick it over their head, I personally feel much more like its a statement and if I do that to someone , its usually with a little spite in it lool where as a nutmeg I just see as a tool for escaping tight spaces or a press, and therefore when it happens to me, I don't like it but I just get on with it and don't pay it much mind, but if a ball gets flicked over my head, that is gonna p*ss me off and I'm gonna be annoyed at myself for not reading it and if my positioning is good and some dude does it on me anyway, I'm likely a little rattled lool, then not wanting that to happen again in either case opens up the potential for Megs squared lool

I think getting a ball flicked over your head is more embarrassing, its easier to nut meg someone, and get nutmegged, but to flick it over someone's head has to be both a player capable of doing it, and a defender putting themselves in a position where it can be done. It is possible to flick it over someone's head even when the defender gets their positioning correct those times are quite rare, where as the chances to nutmeg are far more common. Its always one of those moments when it happens to you, that you would like to avoid, but truth is , if the attacker has the control and the presence of mind a Nutmeg is very often possible its hard to defend a space and the nutmeg at the same time. I also think falling over in Football is a little less embarrassing because its less painful so people wilfully slide, and go to ground, if you get put off balance so much you fall or lose balance, that is one of the most embarrassing (ironic though because you usually have to be a half decent defender to have this done to you because its about playing with the defenders anticipation)
