Good video! I like using all spell slots, usually I start with the ones I call a initiator (spells which you can cast jumping, those are good for creating chain casting) like catch flame , or slicer, leading into other mix ups. I like putting 2 kind of initiators in my builds. So its between 1-3 spells after each initiator, leaving the last spells for ranged combat, buffs or situational. The pros is that when you're used to it you can not only do those 2 mix ups with the initiators, you can even mix between both. The bad thing is that it's not for everyone, because it's too much management in the spells slots, but if you can do it, it's worth it.

an easy example of what I wrote is, starting with the slicer >> piercer combo, then doing swift shard >>> gavel of haima. But, if you're fast enough, you can also do the slicer >>> gavel of haima. There's a lot of complexity in the theory crafting of making those chain casting, reason why I like playing as a caster.

I find it useful to have a mekee weapon with a projectile weapon art in the main hand always I find handytech is better suited to rely on spell mixups as opposed to alternate melee movesets. like pebble art to swap with swift pebble cast on the left hand staff, they dodge the swift pebble and get hit by the weapon art pebble, or wing of astel r2 at close range since its hard to parry the melee portion unless they're running golden parry or golden retaliation at least on INT builds and like having all the attunement slots. FTH seems to lend more into having more variety like the various buffs and cures and bestial vit so I can see wanting more my spell setup is swift shard, star shower, cannon of haima, carian slicer, carian piercer, adulas moonblade, night mist, collapsing stars, zamor ice storm and shard spiral the hold up swap for farron dart is nice as a finisher especially landing it as a jump shot when they are expecting a melee attack

Most annoying part of inventory management is how weapons, shields, and ranged options all have separate storage tabs, so mixing them around as you please is a pain

Whirl O' Flame can be hard to land, but it can be a great freehand incant. Using charge or uncharged, You can hit a catch flame, and then immediately cast into a whirl o' flame for possible roll catch timing. Its extremely fast and good tracking that most people don't expect in a mix-up.

I’ve got about 400 hours in this game. 99.9% has been either solo or co-op. Haven’t been one for pvp. I’d just imagine I’ll live and die by whatever build I go in with. Too much brain power to be swapping around for me 😢
