I noticed you had a medium frame with comb drawn on the bottom. Question for ya. If I want to switch from mediums to deeps (brood) Would you just put the medium brood frames checkered with deep frames? I don't have any drawn deeps just foundation. Or will they cross comb that way? This is just talking about this time of year.

i would put the deep box on top of the medium and let them draw the frames out. once the queen has laid brood in it make sure she is in the deep box and put down a queen excluder and put the medium box on top of the deeps. once the brood hatches you can let them fill the mediums with honey. the medium drawn to the depth of a deep came out of my JUNK hive.

That one was easy. I don’t know why you just didn’t tell them where your empty box was and then tell them to go get in it. lol
