The Art of War is an ancient guide on military strategy. Written by Sun Tzu a Chinese general and philosopher in the 5th Century B.C. It was created after he helped successfully defend the Chinese province of Wu against the province Chu.
The strategies in this book have been used for hundreds of years in military campaigns, business and sports. It is the ultimate guide on how to defeat an opposing force in whatever form that might take. Contrary to what we might expect, The Art of War actually advises to avoid fighting as much as possible by only striking targets that are weak and using manipulation to subdue the enemy.
Ultimately Sun Tzu teaches us how to have the advantage in conflict giving us the best possible chance of success. My hope for this production was to provide an exciting and digestible rendition of this ancient text that can help people learn these strategies for years to come.

@@zmmtpomfg5462 Subversion is the alternative to war in modern America. It's the use of propaganda to such a degree that it converts people to call for actions against their own interests in favor of their enemy. Been around forever, and he does reference it some here. Today it is the key weapon of "Marxism". In China from Sun Tzu to "Unrestricted Warfare" by CCP generals in 1999 from China. the entire book is how to avoid traditional military conflicts, but win through subversion, bribery, tech, bioweapons, etc. Traditional warfare is obsolete for bringing down America due to such superior might, but subverting the people, destroying through tech and cyber attacks, and bioweapons.

Its true though honestly. I am someone with anxiety, triggered largely by social situations and generally unrepdictable life situations. That anxiety, rooted in my own low self esteem/confidence causes me not to speak up or set personal boundaries, and thusly opt for mostly non confrontational outcomes. But every time i succumb to that anxiety rather than taking accountability for my wants and needs, the anxiety leads to me growing angry with resentment and misplaced negativity. Things that could have been talked out in the onset will start to fester within me and my anger grows due to feeling my boundaries not being respected, but the reality is that it is my responsibility to learn how to advocate for those things. That will reduce that anger and allow you to communicate more effectively and form better relationships.

"The wise warrior avoids the battle." I can't think in a better quote to begin this audiobook review. Sometimes, reading books about war tactics or novels of the genre of war, is confused with glorify wars, destruction, death and all sad things that are results of a war. But, at least, in my case (I can't speak for others) it's not that. I don't glorify war. One of my favorite historical subjects is World War II, but it's not because an insane instinct of glorify war. I just support the concept that any person who forget the past or don't do anything to learn about the past, he/she will be cursed to repeat history.
