Very insightful and enjoyable. Would love to see a similar one on André Franquin some day.

Never read a comic from this artist but his style attracts me. I'm not really impressed with the digital stuff though, the real masters do it on paper for a reason. Good video and interesting book where you can see his originals, I always enjoy seeing that.

I’ve seen his drawings through the years and always loved them. I thought he was more of an illustrator and didn’t know that he made complete comic books. I will check his comic books out. He might be my new favorite comic book artist! Thanks for a nice presentation 🙏🏻

This is an amazing tribute to the Master, Yves Chaland. Thank you so much. What are you thoughts and opinion of (what i believe) was his closest visual art competitor back in the day, Serge Clerc? Any chance that we might one day see a Learning lesson comparing and contrasting the Atomic Styles of these two Masters of Illustration?

Thanks for the compliment. Serge Clerc surely comes close to Chaland style wise. Though I never had a connection to his style, because to me it was more technical. But I have to dive into it to see if I can make a video about it that is worth to watch.

Yves Challabd? Wonderful introduction to his works. 3:50 I like this format for sketching. Amazing to see his publications, collaborations and styles. An early influence on me, was all the artists in the Sunday edition of newspapers which at some point filled 4 full pages. I miss those. 16:26 and you 17:00 using Procreate. 21:05 Whoever says comics are not art, they are delusional. 22:29 a bonus, description of your process in Procreate, and history of halftones and old school thrift-driven choices. 25:20 layout composition and color as way to focus attention. 27:08 i recall do wax paste to edit our school bluelines.
