Broken like a tortoise shell, shards of mirror and armor fell. Now we all can see you. Weave your voice into a song, to carry you when we are gone. Our song is never through.

Andrés Alejandro Blanco Also a Prog rock/metal guy. I find post-rock to be as good and beautiful as prog rock just generally with less singing. This album is so good. One of my favourite post rock albums.

Andrés Alejandro Blanco If you like both you should definitely check out Widek

+Jason Kramer +mathew kevan i've listened to Russian Circles, and would definitely check the others recomendations. I got into post rock because i love instrumental and long songs. It's kinda of dificult get used to not hear any voice at all through a whole album, but it's quite good. I confess i miss the emotions of a good lyrics on some parts

Could have done without the annoying propaganda speech in the middle of the album. I listen to post-rock because it's just amazing to zone out to and focus on something like reading or studying. When you have some dude drone on about who-cares-what, it just annoys me. It doesn't matte what the message is.
@alexandrosgoulas9 жыл бұрын
+psiersz Everybody feels music by his own way. Probably, they didn't intend this music to serve the purpose you wished for :)
@wowowls71207 жыл бұрын
it isn't a "propaganda" speech, it is an extremely famous speech given by Mario Cuomo in response to Reagan's absolute insanity. With the state of American politics today, it is once again extremely relevant, you should probably actually try listening to it! it's a really cool speech.

go write your own album and enjoy it while everyone else criticizes what you like.

I didn’t even realize it was from real life - I thought it was about the city in the album. It was really intense and that’s what drew me to this album the most 😂 to each their own lol
