FYI: I know they are not literally Witchers, but there are some striking similarities. And I need some way to let people who never heard of the Ash'Abah know what kind of group they are before they click on the video. Otherwise there is no way to really get people interested in a word they never heard of. For example "The Ash'Abah - The Elder Scrolls Lore" could be anything. So yeah, the struggle of making titles for videos is real and I hope I didn't do too bad on this one.

The more I learn about the Redguards the more I realize that they really are one of the most interesting races in TES. Really hoping that TES VI takes place in Hammerfell. Would love to see vast deserts after more than a decade of snowy Skyrim.

IMO they have some of the coolest lore in the entire series, it sucks that they're just the dark skinned pirate/desert race in most main series games. Them boys invented a nuke sword strike for fucks sake.

This explains Amren's obsession with his father's sword.I guess The Dragonborn and other TES heroes are kind of "witchers" dealing with undead or other unclean things.I notice Nords are often very averse to disturbing the dead.The followers Belrand and Erik the Slayer are not happy to invade tombs and the guards gripe about Saarthal.The rarely used Erandur,the Dunmer Priest of Mara, has a different attitude ,he has pity for draugr and considers it a good deed to give them their final rest.

Quite ironic in the case of Erandur, as Dunmer are usually extremely strict about disturbing the ancestral dead.

i like to think that mages might find their way among the asha'bah. Finding the way to purge unclean magics without destroying the flesh, or perhaps slaying the undead with a damage health spell so as not to harm the body. Outcasts do tend to flock together.

I very much appreciate your resistance to the standard on KZbin regarding titles, and keep giving us truthful and engaging titles for the video. i wonder if indeed the game is set in Hammerfell (and High Rock too i hope) that there's a whole storyline related to the Ash'Abah. It's reasonable to think that perhaps the Ash'Abah were asked to help fight the daedra in the Oblivion crisis. What if they fought so valiantly to have protected all of Hammerfell but died doing so, in one last act of selflessness and duty. What if, with a resurgence of the dark arts, we as the player character get to reform the Ash'Abah....what would that mean for our reputation? Would everybody in Hammerfell hate us? Would we get radiant quests from various kings of Hammerfell to investigate and dispose of various necromancers in the area?

While it think it's cool, I think it ruins the pre-eso redguard roleplaying since nearly every main quest requires killing undead. Now I'm forced to roleplay as Ash'Abah or a rogue Redguard who doesn't care about traditions.
@ImperialKnowledge Жыл бұрын
Not really as in other provinces a redguard killing undead would not be an outcast as people don’t care in other provinces. So unless you absolutely want to play a redguard traditionalist who is strict with religious stuff and thus has to see him/herself as an ashabah, you should be fine
@ItsHimSlim Жыл бұрын
@@ImperialKnowledge I was under the impression it was all undead, not just undead Redguards. I concede that may have been mistaken
@ImperialKnowledge Жыл бұрын
@@ItsHimSlim it is basically all undead but what I meant is that a redguard in skyrim/cyrodiil would be less traditional most likely so would be less bothered by putting them down. And the local population of nords and imperials also don’t care if you put them down. So unless you roleplay as a redguard who is very close to his/her traditions and faith, it does not matter

ESO lore has hit a new low in plagiarism. Like I don't remember this being a thing in Daggerfall. But I do remember whooping mummy ass (or more commonly getting my ass whooped by a mummy) Like why couldn't they have been a sort of vigilant of stendarr parallel instead of the despised yet regrettably necessary monster hunters (aka a Witcher rip)
