Wow! What an experience. I was born on May 20 at 1:31 am, just two hours different from Medusa’s birth. I left the patriarchal religion of my youth and traveled the world to find the balance of divine feminine /divine masculine. I was extremely ill prior to this Awakening and had to have part of my spine rebuilt- exactly where you would slit the throat to be beheaded. My Sun and Mercury are at 29 degrees of Taurus, within the orb of Algol. Thank you for creating this artistic and exciting educational piece.

Incredible analysis 👏👏👏. Very wise and well studied. I have MC and Moon in Algol, it is a pain to get out of the wild darkness of the soul and release from the pain of trauma, but once you leave this place of victim, you transcend the ego and become very free. Fascinating interpretation of the Medusa archetype as "female trauma". It made me think of others like Persephone, Pandora, and Lilith. All of them are examples of females responding to traumatic experiences and trying to empower themselves.

Fascinating depiction! I remember being so captivated by the story as preteen when the movie played on regular TV. 37:44 the Paternity Uncertainty Hypothesis is the name of the idea in evolutionary psychology. Something interesting, which iterates on the point you are making about the utilization of fears around "paternity discrepancies" to further patriarchal control in society... even within psychology, this theory has been taken for granted as being a "logical" fear for men. However, feminist surveys of human biology have found that the reality of paternal discrepancies have often been exaggerated and inflated by evolutionary psychologists to justify patriarchal norms. this is so amazing thank youuuuu!!!!! I have my sun conjunct algol, saturn, jupiter, and venus and I am very aware that the divine (the holy spirit, shiva shakti) can never be tainted and it's very literally pov that allows us to connect with god but humans in a less evolved state tend to be ugly, uncomfortable, and egoic . Ego and the effects of trauma would like me to believe there is nothing more to consciousness then those but I can't seem to turn back my awareness no matter what obstacle i get not that i'd want to, the spiritual and real world challenges of this combination and others in my chart are formidable. Everyone has those but dark goddess placements are just so intense.

I'm curious where you found the chart for Medusa. I have aspects to every single planet in the chart. Her sun conjunct my saturn, opposite my mercury. Her saturn conjunct my moon. Her MC conjunct my south node. My mars trine Uranus, her Uranus trine my Uranus, her pluto square my ascendant. And a lot more. I feel this relates to me a lot, I've had corporate bosses tell me I have "stone face". I honestly just don't place my happiness in the hands of sucking up to bosses. 99% of the time they could care less and don't consider you. (my experience, i have saturn conjunct algol in my 10th house). Theres so much more to go on. I lose faith in humanity constantly. Algol teaches a lot, but ultimately makes you fearless. A blessing and a curse for sure

I have Mars in the 10th conjunct Algol to the exact degree, with Jupiter only 3 degrees away. Years before I had even the most remote interest in astrology my friends and I got really into graffiti. I would tag as “Ghoul” and , when we had time for more elaborate designs, I would paint a disembodied Frankenstein head. I couldn’t have told you why at the time, but looking back, I wanted to confront people with the grotesque. Very on brand 😂

Thanks for asking Melanie! Most of the lyrics are up for debate, I like to write esoterically to allow the listener to come up with their own interpretations. But the 3 is a motif that you see consistently with Algol, she's 1 of 3 sisters, she's 3 stars, which combine into 1 to our naked eye, and so forth! There are many other 3's hidden in the video and otherwise, that I'd recommend exploring to help you arrive to your interpretation 😄 -JG
