i love how i just found this video and i got banned less than 2 weeks ago for, cheating, even tho i got banned for "flying" only cause of lag, its not my fault they for some reason never decided to spread their servers in regions, like i'm from the EU and i lag in basically every game i play lol

This happened to me, I was accused of cheating through the use of hacking / modifications, like you I included screenshots, & a video from my friends stream I was in, also to note at the time I had not been on hypixel for just over two weeks before being “banned”, so whenever this supposed “cheating” took place, I have no idea as I wasn’t online to take place. Like you my appeal was the same “you broke the rules, you must wait the remaining time on your ban.” The things that make me angry, is it’s clearly an automated message, they don’t look at the proof they ask you to present, like you said with the video links, the appeal contradicts what the mod you shared said, as it asks their players to submit video proof to prove innocence. This is so ludicrous & hypocritical, I’m so glad you made a video about this, because it’s a really bad issue and if they ask you for proof you weren’t cheating why don’t they give you proof of the cheating they banned you for in the first? Like you me to give you proof? Where’s your proof of what I did? Give me proof? Hypixel makes me so angry, I don’t really play on it anymore, they really did ruin their own server for me :/

Same for me, but happened twice. First time it happened i hadn’t been on for a few years, but it said i have a few months of ban. After that, i played a little then went offline until today, when i went on hypixel and it said i have over 200 days left on a ban for the same reason: “cheating”

This literally just happened to me. Got banned for a month for “boosting stats”, and got my appeal denied twice. They must’ve thought I was rank boosting since I play friends who are genuinely good at the game, whereas I’m less skilled than them. Sucks tho how famous youtubers seem to get away with it

You make very interesting points on Hypixel’s Appeal / Ban System. I feel bad for the players that got their appeals denied and their decisions being final. However, I just want to point out that I was banned for permanent by watchdog for cheating about 5 years ago, and I actually did it 4 times. The bans went from one week, two weeks, one month, and then perm. I said in an appeal about two years later that I’m no longer a hacker, but they straight-up denied that appeal with a ridiculous copy-pasted message that just states that I hacked and nothing else. Then, I went up into the forums and told everyone I appealed and asked why it was denied. Guess what happened. People said on the forums that they don’t accept appeals to those that plead guilty. How ridiculous!!! I was as sincere as I could be when I stated that I don’t hack anymore. Hypixel just has no interest in forgiving anyone, even after years or so. They just need to learn that it takes a lot of time for players to really learn from their mistakes and own up to them.

all i heard from this video is facts being spoken, they wont spread servers to other regions then ban people for no reason and lag, they wont even take video evidence which leads to even MORE false-bans, a video like this deserves more views and attention speaking that it talks about a serious issue in the community that alot of people have to deal with, they lack compatibility even though they make 3-7 mill A MONTH, by far the best server yet such bad support.

Just happened to me today/a few days ago. I was banned for "Cheating through the use of unfair game advantages", despite having no mods or clients on Minecraft. I have a modpack installed through CurseForge, but as far as I am aware, that is only accessible from CurseForge itself, not the default Minecraft launcher. I only played Hypixel once recently, for about 30 minutes or less, and I am 100% sure I was playing on the regular launcher, which has 0 mods, not even Optifine. I was banned for 4 weeks and I decided to appeal. My appeal message was: "The only time I played on Hypixel recently was a couple days ago to try out my new PC. I have no mods nor hacked clients installed. I did download a modpack from CurseForge, but I did not enter Hypixel with it. I entered through Minecraft's launcher, on the Latest Release. When I played, I think I only played a Bedwars game and tried out one of the newer games. I am not sure which mod/client I was accused of having, nor am I sure what evidence I can show to prove my point. I am just confused as to how/why this happened." And guess what happened? Of course, the appeal was denied. Why? The message goes: "Thank you for taking the time to make a punishment appeal, but unfortunately, your appeal has been denied. The account was found to be using modifications or purposely using exploits that are not allowed on the Hypixel server. More information regarding punishments and relevant documents are found here: Punishment Information and How to Appeal. Along with the server rules here: Hypixel Rules & Policies. Please make sure to read these and respect our server's rules. We take account security very seriously at Hypixel. Please understand that account holders are responsible for their accounts. I very highly doubt anyone aside from me has any access to my account, since I have never ever given my accout e-mail nor password to absolutely anyone. So, in the unlikely case that my account just happened to be hacked right after the one time I decide to play for a few minutes, by a very mischievous hacker who has nothing better to do with their life, how is it even my responsibility? It would be as silly as someone delivering $200 worth of pizza to my house, and then the company and deliveryman saying that it is my responsibility because I live there and therefore should pay the $200 despite me not having ordered the pizza. I have been MVP+ since 2014, never banned before (one time, years ago, I was muted for saying something offensive or something, but never banned I believe), and despite having spent countless hours in the server and real money in it, the staff could not care less about me nor anyone else. We are just a number, a statistic to them, they fail to show any human empathy towards injustice and refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes. As you showed in your video, unfair bans have happened countless times. So why is nobody taking any responsibility? Not to mention, when a ban appeal is denied, they completely lock the thread, and the account is also banned from participating in the forums, so there is literally nothing to do about it. They have the mentality of "staff word is final, because we are always correct and you are wrong", and when someone challenges their viewpoint, they just laugh it off or ignore it instead of trying to help in any way. I really like Hypixel, but this is embarrassing. This video really needs a lot more views, because you explained everything in a very tidy way that I am unable to do.

While I share the pain, the actual numbers Hypixel make a month are far bleaker, as the general player-base isn't best represented by the Duels lobby - if you grabbed a 100-player sample size from skyblock, skywars, bedwars, the pit, and any other popular mode, put all those together and re-performed your low-ball, they'd be making in the range of $350,000-$800,000 a month. that at the very minimum $250,000 a month in free-spending to help improve their network definitely doesn't show, at all, it's like they're an unknown server that's got no clue what they're doing at all.

(TL;DR at the end) I’ve been complaining about Hypixel for these things and more since 2017, and while I appreciate you bringing up these issues, the likelihood of Hypixel doing anything about it is really small. Let me explain. Hypixel has not had any real competition other than the Hive ever since Mineplex completely died off in 2017-2018. Considering that the Hive just shut down, that means that Hypixel pretty much has a monopoly on the higher echelons of MC servers, especially since Hypixel can just coast on its own popularity. One other thing, some of Hypixel’s staff are probably more focused on Hytale, and while, yes, that is a completely different development team, people like Hypixel himself have to take the time to represent and fund Hytale. Now like you said, money isn’t a huge issue, but time is invaluable. TL;DR: Hypixel probably won’t change due to the fact that they practically have a monopoly and some people are more focused on Hytale.

great vid, but the section where u calculated the earnings of hypixel is quite misleading, for two main reasons. 1. the sample size you took was from the duels lobby, and duels is one of if not the gamemode which is most occupied by people who spend a lot of time on hypixel (ie sweats), so therefore are much more likely to have a rank. 2. while hypixel says that it gets 1 mil a month in players, most of these players log on once or twice a month, not actually reflective of the regular playbase of hypixel. apart from that relatively minor thing, good vid

imo iRedMc's is way too broad combined with how you count the server's income. At different times different types of players are playing, and with your sample size of joining one server and finding an estimate there is a large margin of error. honestly 100.000$ a month should be seen as the *minimum* they *could* be spending on the server, but it might as well be up there in the milions if you count the countless art, programmers, marketing and of course the production of hytale etc etc That aside- really good video :D

I fell for. a scam several years back (I was 10) my minecraft account was hacked and the usernames kept changing. I wasn't allowed to play on servers. A few days ago I decided to try to play hypixel. It turns out the hacker cheated on my account on hypixel and I perma-banned. I proved my innocence by using the constant username changes as evidence that I was hacked during the time and told them I was 10 and am now more internet safe. Then they said "SCREW YOU!" and said that I was guilty even though I had near undeniable proof I was innocent.

there's no real proof of the "ranked players get more knockback" claim. KZbinrs don't get affected by watchdog and I think the youtuber might have been joking about that. Also it's been proven on other servers that ping affects knockback.
