I have a question, may be someone knowledgeable can answer me. Can I be close to Allah without being close to my parents? My parents are absolutely amazing and mean the best for me, however the way they are doing a few things is causing me real mental pain and trauma and even having a normal conversation with them is turning into a pain. But in the same time I don't want to choose the path to Jahannum. I pray for my parents and also pray to be forgiven on a daily basis but it's just so difficult to even talk with them now. What do I do?

You can minimize contact with your parents to what is necessary but remain respectful to preserve your mental health. As for your relationship with Allah swt, make sure you keep up with your prayers and Quran and ibaadah and as long as u make sure to uphold the rights of your parents and you will be fine InshAllah.

Sheikh Bilaal Assad. Pls avoid invoking Allaah with ALLAAHUMMA.... that's a core reason why we are disconnected and our duaas go unattended!

Invoking Allah with ‘Allahumma’ is perfectly fine. It is mentioned in various places in the Quran in the form of du’a and is some verses Allah says ‘say Allahumma…’. 2 examples are in Surat Yunus verse 10 ‘their supplication in it (Paradise) will be Glory be to You, Allahumma..’ and Surat al-Imran verse 28, ‘say, ‘Allahumma Malikal-mulki You give authority to whom ever you Will…’ Perhaps you are referring to when we say ‘ameen’ at the end of a du’a as some people say ‘Allahumma Ameen’, ‘allahumma Ameen’, the meaning and language is still perfectly correct, which means ‘O Allah, accept’.

Preceded by the account of Moses again a Rassool and Nsbi, and before that Ibraham ( a Nabi) who was blessed with progenies Isaac and Jacob ( No mention of Ismael as a Progeny of Abraham) My question is who is Ismael ( the Holy Quran assigns him as a RASSOOL and Nabi). Allah guides the Anbiyaa Allaihumussalaam in 105 Instances how to make dua using RABBI AND RABBANAA. And we confuse with the word Dawaahum as Duaa and use Allaahumma in our duaas!! Rabbanaa laa thajallanaa ma alqawmul dhaallimeen . Rabbanaa Ihdeena wa Saddidnaa alaa AS SIRAATHAL MUSTAQEEM
