my dear ursula.sometimes it is best to leave things as they are.what we achieved burnt us out as we put our all into this band and it took it's toll(for rock'n'roll). Please continue to get a vibe off the few recordings we did and i hope you have a fulfilling life.many thanks and don't sell out.cheers Pete Hammond

I don't know about underrated. It pops up on knowledgeable critics lists all the time. However it is largely unknown these days by the public. Honestly a preservation company like Criterion needs to put out a definitive restored b ray version.

I am of the approximate age group of these bands and audiences. I'm watching the movie for the first time right now! I bought the vinyl double LP at the time. So raw, no polish, just like a gig would be.

The younger so called "post post punk" or "new" or "neo" post punk bands, or whatever they're termed, all name-check the great bands from the late 70s/ early 80s, like Gang of Four, Josef K and Fire Engines and even the Raincoats, but there is one AMAZING band that seems forever neglected - The Au Pairs were AMAZING.
