100%, would be great to see a race while both are tuned but still on stock turbos (OG's 335d defo doesn't have hybrids at its current power level). Then a rematch once some new turbos are fitted. Would make for some great content!

My motor is all stock parts, but has a stage 1 map. It's currently running 340 bhp and 500 nm. It's good for 60 in about 4.5, maybe even a touch quicker in good conditions. I'm super interested to see what you're getting with these mods so far.

@@Zsword92 I'm actually pondering on whether to start refurbing mine, getting into good condition, and pushing the power. How's you're handle the power it has now, how usable is it?
@Zsword923 жыл бұрын
@@moonfly1 @Simple Gamer It's a great platform, especially if you can do the maintenance yourself. Get a walnut blast. Do the main oil leak areas first and use Genuine rubber, OFHG, Sump gasket, valve cover gasket, front crank seal. Replace the serpentine belt and tensioner if it hasn't been done or the belt has oil on it. Get an upgraded PCV valve. Replace the valve cover if weeping oil or visibly cracked. Again use Genuine OEM. Put new coils and colder plugs if tuned and getting misfires. Check the gap first. See if you have index 11 or 12 injectors. Replace all vacuum lines around engine bay if not holding vacuum. Get an aluminium charge pipe! If you want to go an E85 mix, upgrade your LPFP and expect to go through oxygen sensors faster. You might also need a flex-fuel sensor and a port injection kit. Do oil changes at much shorter intervals than BMW suggests. Also there's no such thing as a "lifetime oil" for differential and transmission like BMW would have you believe. Mine handles the power pretty well, although I have to limit the boost in 1st and 2nd or it spins the Michelin PSS 255s to smoke instantly. My Quaife LSD helps, but more in corner exit and predictable powerslides. The car squirms under acceleration if the road isn't the best, I'll do the m3 subframe bushings and BMS diff lockdown to help with that. These cars can never put power down like a true M car, but with heavy modification they can be close!
@Saif04123 жыл бұрын
@@Zsword92 lol that's a big list, done most of the stuff on there except LSD and flex fuel setup, proper Maintenance is a must for N54 👍 On MHD stage 1+ and XHP stage 3,with Wagner FMIC and VRSF Charge Pipe, should be somewhere around 390bhp. With hybrid turbos they can easily exceed M car performance levels, I've seen 500bhp, 600bhp and 700bhp cars.

You're heck of man for trying to do DP's on a RHD N54. Wouldn't even make my enemy do that job. I run VRSF DP's with the stock cat-back and it's (IMO) one of the better sounding exhaust setup's, the best would be a full 3/3.5" single exit. Swap Depot done this config on there car and it reminds me of the 2J so much!

If I remember right it's a Manual. Would recommend cdv delete (just push to together). Clutch pedal bump stop and trw M3 front control arms. MHD just released a new throttle sensitivity setting. Put that straight to 1m. For exhaust do the PE mod to the stock back box it's the best mod. No rattles or ugly rasp . Don't remove the rear cats that ruins the sound and also doesn't give much power increase. Plus won't pass an MOT Have fun

Get yourself some DCI's as the stock air box is very restrictive. Although the MHD OTS maps are good, a custom map is day and night and you can get the most out of the setup. I'm FBO with an aggressive custom map and my car has 160k on the clock. No issues at all.
