Welcome back for the next installment of my design analysis series of Genshin Impact characters!
I'm delighted to bring you this Xianyun analysis FINALLY!! She is a renowned character, beloved by all for so many reasons, and I really hope I did her justice. I had so much fun writing it and it's my longest video to date! Hope you have some snacks at the ready before you watch :D

I would loooove to study more about those characters! I particularly like candace’s outfit, so many little symbolic elements to it 🌙

@@EmeraldTaurean I honestly think that Sumeru characters are underapreciated, especially the desertfolk, who are inspired by Egipt mythology. And is kinda interesting to see how each of them not only seems related to a god (Anubis for Cyno, Toth for Candace and Sekmeth for Dehya), but they also seem to have a lose correlation to Deshret's Sages (Hermanubis, Benu and a Lioness witch the name I forgot). Anyway... I just love ancient egyptian mythology and culture, and O also have the unpopular opinion that I love Sumeru desert exactly because of the references. But sadly, the fact that Cyno, Candace and Dehya are low on popularity for gameplay reasons makes them underapreciated for all the work that was put on their designs and their personality. Honestly, along with Nilou, Arataki, Yelan, Baizhu and Cloud Retainer, they are my favorites. Anyway, I think I lost myself here... sorry. 😂

@@VictorWulf No apologies needed, I love comments like this :D Sumeru is my absolute favourite as well for so many reasons, and the desert is especially rich with lore! I'm really looking forward to getting more of that with Cyno's second story quest, I think it might help fill in some gaps with his backstory that we've only been teased with so far. I may have to do some serious cooking after it comes out and hopefully come up with a cool spin on a desert-themed video

@@EmeraldTaurean Sumeru is my favourite region too. I love the lore behind the desert so much, all the places you see, the past you uncover... you almost fee l like an archeologist. Also the aestethics of the desert ruins how the place keeps unfolding, getting bigger and bigger. Reminds me of Elden Ring. There's also the references to mythology, like Duat Hall, that boat inside the mausoleum said to take the people to the underworld, Aaru... sometimes I walk around Sumeru desert just to see the architecture and admire the beauty of the ancient looking ruins. That place is so atmospheric... About Cyno's new quest, I'm also really looking foward to it to the point that I think it would be nice to see the part where the Temple of Silence is located. I really hope that his quest explore him the best way possible.

Genuinely this is one of the best analysis I’ve seen. I’m very interested in analysing Genshin’s tepee of different cultures especially Chinese and I didn’t even know this it could be this much in one character 😭. You are very underrated and your voice and overall quality are so so gorgeous :3. I’ll stay here for longer
