Very nice restoration. I used to have a BN4. I loved it.

I am simply not mechanically inclined, and I am always impressed, when a "regular guy" like this gentleman, just decides to restore a car of this type!.The model he has, would be worth over a hundred grand easily, these days--IF a professional had restored it...This dude does not seem to care about that aspect of this rare Healey model. The more powerful "100-M" model made well over 100 hp, with that 2.6 litre 4 cylinder. It is interesting to me, that Donald Healey decided to switch to the six cylinder power plant, that had more torque, but not more hp in the beginning. The 100-6 was introduced in 1957--I owned a 59 model of that--but late in 59, the Healey 3000 was introduced, and kept the 6cyl engine for the rest of the Healey run, which ended in late 1967. The final 64-67 Healeys had 150hp, and an upgraded interior. I prefer the look of those earlier Healeys, particularly the late 50's, early 60s versions of the car. IMO, the Healey was beautiful, second only to the 1961 XKE in looks. The Jag had a much larger, more powerful engine--and a much larger price!

Thank you so much for the comment! I am passing this on to my grandfather, Charles, who is featured in this video. He will be happy to hear from another enthusiast!
