Seriously impressed with your adaptation of the gearbox internals and the design of the remote change. I like the way you think outside the box or in this case the gearbox. A much neater end result than my effort to overcome exactly the same issue. The music tracks are excellent and seem to fit perfectly. The editing of the whole thing keeps you entertained even if your not a complete "petrol head". Keep in coming.

kind words thanks Steve...pretty easy mod to be honest ...was only made a pain by the piece that i found in the bottom making me strip the gearbox...the other gearbox had the same bit loose and broken too...must be a common fault

When renewing a hardy Spicer, I have found that if one circlip fits nicely and the opposite one doesn't, it could mean that a needle has slipped out and is lying in the bottom of the cup.

Way ahead of you on wiggling me knob, Brian. I had the same trouble with circlips on my MG's propshaft UJs, even strained my vice trying to get the last one in. Couldn't believe how smooth the car ran once they were done though.

Looks like he laid the gasket on and then flipped it, which transferred about half of it to the engine side. I expect it'll be ok.

Alright Buddy, great video, good solution on the gearbox but they are horrible things to work on, too many parts, have tried blue hylomar gasket sealant used by rolls royce in engine assembly much better than instant gasket, hope you success with the head gasket, all the best. Dave

Almost imposable to buy just a headgasket here, you have to buy VRS kit for most engines, and of course it would be a special order normally you wouldn’t see any change from $350

@@oakswamp I am in Australia, have lived all over this country, working as a mechanic,and RWC inspector (mot equivalent) in 3 states, now living in Butt f-k nowhere,near Bundaberg Queensland. You have to get the vehicle inspected by a engineer for any mods including wheel swaps and have a blue mod plate fitted by them stating the change, (about $800 per change). Not many customs about here

wait.. part 25? lol.. also, not to belittle your work, but the two openings in the chassis for the exhaust are huge weak points - the vertical strength in an I-beam section is in the vertical part which is now gone..
