Roger E Mosley from Magnum PI said the same thing. We were at a party and someone asked him how to get into acting and be successful. He said, “Talent.” True story.

I’m a school counselor for K-6, and the piece about how the strategy for the scene, project, career, and life is all the same thing is totally relevant. You kind of go in and out of being a director and an actor, and the kids know it and love you for it-if you respect the life force and embrace it.

One of the most thoughtful conversations/interviews I've ever seen on acting and the acting business. Karen's questions and overall conducting of the conversation and responsive yet uninterrupting listening is always brilliant. Thank you so much, Karen and Michael.

12:44 How "they" reconcile that? I guess he is part of the ones with talent... And ppl with lots ambition and little talent... are alien to him. I say... Madonna is a great example of that. Used to be a fan...

Ya Madonna was a terrible actress. Great performance though and dancer

Aim high to hit in the middle? That does not sound as success at all. How about realistic expectations? Yet ego for sure is the fuel of the genius....
