You are absolutely right when you said this movie is highly influential. I don't think there isn't a quote, a scene, a moment that doesn't stick with me because of how amazingly well this was executed. The music, the acting, the humor, the villain and the action were all helmed greatly. This movie gets me so excited without even watching it. Watching in the movie theater midnight show was one of the best experiences in the world for me. Everyone was cheering, laughing and oh my god this movie felt like an event. I felt apart of this movie.

Same here. The MCU movies are really the only movies that bring out all of these feelings in people, fans of the source material or not. I had similar experiences with this movie, both Guardians, Thor Ragnarok, Black Panther and others. It’s amazing how consistently good the quality is of these movies. It’s at the point where Infinity War has no possibility of being a bad movie, most likely ‘pretty good’ in the worst case scenario.

Still the best third act of any Superhero movie to date. The Avengers may not be the best Comic Book Movie but it's definitely the most entertaining. It's one of the only films I can watch over and over again and never get bored. It's just so damn entertaining, no matter how many times you watch it, it never gets old.

If it weren’t for Infinity War, this would easily be my favorite MCU movie. It was so ambitious for the time, and the fact that the movie was as good as it was was a miracle. This is the movie that epitomizes what makes the MCU so special, and it seriously never gets old to me.

Dont forget how the battle of New York affected Agents of SHIELD. The two scientists (Fitz and Simmons) talk the most about how technology and the world has changed after the Chitauiri invasion. All the alien tech plays a HUGE role in the first season with the newly introduced Centipede project

Missed connections- - Erik Selvig is controlled by the mind stone for so long that when he breaks free from the 'spell' he basically loses his mind (Thor: The Dark World) - Not sure if you mentioned this, but Thor brings the tezzeract bact to Asgard for safe keeping, only for Loki to steal it in Thor Ragnarok - Not an entire missed connection, but Tony still feels the effects of the invasion passed Iron Man 3, it is still haunting him in Age of Ultron and it's why he created the Ultron program -Captain America and Tony have a fairly large dispute in this movie and they have another large dispute in age of utlron, which ultimately leads them to their opposing views for civil war You are 100% right when you say that the MCU is so good/popular because they tie the movies so well. Every movie effects the next set of movies that character is in and all the interactions feel real. Keep up the good work man!

This was the movie that got me into the MCU. I've never been one to get on hype trains but I was bored and a friend invited me, so I went. One of the best decisions I ever made! And even though I hadn't seen the other movies, I didn't have too much trouble following it. I had a lot of fun watching it and it definitely felt as huge as I heard it was.

I think this and Civil War are the two movies in the MCU I’ve seen the most. Being a DC fan, it’s the one film that made me gain interest in the whole concept that is the Marvel Universe. Every performance is majestic, the recasting of Hulk to Mark Ruffalo gets an A+, everything between Tony and Steve that builds up to what happens in Civil War and even Age of Ultron in a smaller way is great. The buildup, from how Thor gets added to the group, how they all group up to stop Loki but even still they just don’t trust each other entirely. It’s perfect. The action is on point, and the drama within when Agent Colson gets killed by Loki, driving them all together to finally trust each other. The fight between Thor and Hulk is fantastic. And arguably the best scene in the entire MCU goes to this movie, when Hulk destroys Loki. That’s both comedic and entertaining in a way that it even became a meme used to this day. A great ending to this phase of the Universe. Extra credentials: buildup, casting, action, chemistry within actors

Something I never thought about before but now I actually think is a really cool detail in this movie is that since in Captain America: The Winter Soldier it’s revealed that for years S.H.I.E.L.D had been secretly taken over by Hydra it makes the fact that they chose to nuke the city of New York make a lot more sense

my main issue with the movie were thier use (or lack of) hawkeye who is my favorite avenger after watching the tv shows and comics I just feel I can connect and find hawkeye to be just a cool badass (especially his ultimate version) but atleast age of ultron did him justice

My personal favorite connection to the MCU in this movie is when Coulson goes to Stark Tower and as he's talking to Pepper, you hear her ask him about a cello player who says had moved to Portland. A little later, Tony says he would fly Coulson to Portland to "Keep the love alive". Finally, after Coulson's "death", Steve Rogers asks Tony if Coulson was married, and Tony mentions that there was a cello player. So this cello player is mentioned 3 times in this movie, and in season 1 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we finally get to meet her. I just love how Marvel took something that could be considered a throw away line, and give it a story.

This movie was good at setting up the different personalities the team that I was legitimately concerned that they would never come together as a team. Seeing them in their individual movies really drove that point home too. A really ambitious movie and concept that paid off big time! Easily my favorite MCU film & I have a hard time seeing any MCU film taking that top spot for me....yes even Infinity War, but we'll see if they can do it on April 26

I know it’s easy to nitpick the movie and yeah I have some issues like the third act being s bit too long. But overall; it’s amazing and with the recent MCU movies I find gets better knowing what happens next. Namely Rogers and Stark’s relationship.

The last 40 mins of the movie in cinematography is the best I've seen in every single superhero movie till date. The CGI & VFX is brilliant. Go ahead & prove me wrong. Even Christopher Nolan IMAX cameras can't match the quality they bought to the climax fight.

I really like the film, but I feel the score should have been more exciting and adrenaline pumping, the score just isn't that distinct like say "Batman 89", or the Chris Reeve "Superman" films. That first act is kind of slow though, but does eventually pick up.

This is the best movie out of phase one. It has a great story with my favourite villain since 2008s Joker. I like all of the characters, while some of thwm were underused, especially Hawkeye and Black Widow. The big 3 and Hulk were all great and the action is awesome. The script and acting is near perfection and all of the side characters are good, while being useful for the story. The pacing is good and the CGI is really good for the time. The movie feels a little to cheesy to me sometimes and Black Widow had barely any personality to speak of. 9/10 A

What is there to say? It's one of the best Superhero movies ever. The Avengers is perhaps more novel to most than it was to me as a twelve year old, as I watched these characters together growing up, so it never had that wow factor to me that most have. I still see it as a fantastic movie with great action and a great story. I only have two gripes, one is that the character designs are a step down from the individual movie designs. For instance Caps suit is just awful, Black Widows hair makes her look stout, And Thor looks a bit weird without his sleeves for most of the movie. The other is that Hawk Eye is, not only barely established before hand, but given next to zero time to develop any sense of character in this movie, so he feels like the black sheep of the group. Other than that, the movie is basically flawless, Hulk looks miles better than in his own movie, and Mark Ruffalo is a much better Bruce Banner than Edward Norton in my opinion. The other characters feel exactly as they did in their own movies, which was an impressive feet for the time. Loki is just as good as he was in Thor, in a different way. Here he is much more strait up evil than the sympathetic villain in Thor, and while I prefer the latter, this version is a fantastic villain. Being altogether complex and threatening. Avengers is a freakin' classic, it's our generations Star Wars. 9.4/10

this I find to be one of if not the most entertaining mcu movie and I cannot remember a scene where I did not have a smile on my face the only problem I really have is that I feel that it drags a little bit in the middle when they are on the helicarrier I love most of the scene I just think at the beginning of that scene it drags a little bit and I actually enjoy caps suit in this one I think it brings out the classic captain America style (though I do prefer the suit in civil war) I do think it is better then the suit in winter soldier but those are my thoughts:)

This, like most MCU flicks, the first one is always/usually the better of the bunch. I like the Whedon touch in movies/shows ;) However, I have a friend, who's not keen on JW, AND always points out the fault in the story about Loki getting captured etc, which when you think out it - it is lame plot point o.0 I imagine, and have seen the MCU plan on the Agents of SHIELD S1 box set, there's a doc of the creation of the MCU... I magine there's a HUGE whiteboard/storyboard in Feige's office charting ALL this out from Iron Man to NOW 0.0
