I have had the line I'm drawn to you, expressed to me recently by someone who has admired and loved me from afar. So when I heard this song I immediately thought of this man and knew instantly this is how he has felt and feels about me, so I shared it with him, he was speechless. How could these fine songwriters see into the heart of man who in the future would say those words to me? Love does transcend time and space.

Try to find a live performance where Scott doesn't mess with tuning of his banjo mid playing, it is very difficult.
@quaiddurham23218 жыл бұрын
a banjo is never truly ''in tune'' gotta fk with it constantly
@21580anthony5 жыл бұрын
Banjo strings stay tight and loosen from plucking so tuning is constant. I seen him bust a string and restring it mid song and that blew my mind but they have insane musical talents

Try to find a video where Scott looks amused. I remember ten years ago he enjoyed himself on stage and he looks bored and less enthused since they’ve gotten big.

I loved this song the first time I heard it live...Sept 12, 2015 in Chattanooga (when they were still kinda working out the chords and lyrics). Then loved it even more when I bought True Sadness and got to hear a finished version. But, I was unprepared for the emotional response I had to watch the documentary, "May It Last" and get to watch Scott and Seth literally come up with the words as you watch. Amazing.

Tar Crystalline not at all. I dont feel like scott really loves it like he did many years ago. I play instruments and tried the banjo and its really difficult but scott isnt enjoying himself anymore and that's obvious. Seth is on point as always though. Ive been a f an since country was. Those guys played their herts out. Google their npr video with I and love and you and see how much more into they were.

I wish I was a flame dancing in a candle Lighting up your living room high on the mantle I could bring some romance without any scandal And then when you were done you'd just put me out I wish I was a tune you sang in your kitchen Putting your groceries away and washing your dishes I could float around your tongue and ease the tension And then when you were done you'd just quiet down But if I get too close Will the magic fade? Would I turn you off or away? If I pull you in Would I push you out Of something here you care about? I'm at a loss for what to do I'm drawn to you I wish I was a sweater wrapped around your hips And when it got too cold into me you'd slip And when the sun came back you would hang me up And I would watch you while you undress But if I get too close Will the magic fade? Would I turn you off or away? If I pull you in Now would I push you out Of something here you care about? Well I'm at a loss for what to do But I'm drawn to you I'm not a song I am not a sweater I'm not a fire I am something better I'm a man in love writing you a letter Will you take it? Will you keep it? Will you read it? Believe it I love you I'm sorry

If this is a good performance in your opinion you must've just found the band. Ive been a fan for a long time and this is by far the worst they've ever sounded. Scott it seems doesnt enjoy himself much anymore and its starting to show. I remember when they were nobodies and had such drive to impress. Now its just a job or a burden. They need to take some personal time off to find that passion and drive again

I hate to break it but this is a terrible performance and any real musician can tell how badly out of tune with eachother and the instruments they are. Its below these guys honestly and I admire and respect their talents to no end. Just not a good performance.
@spikespench32206 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. The song itself is great. Seth is spot on, but Scott's banjo playing (in this performance) and harmony (or lack thereof) is pretty piss poor.
