desp AI r. A gloomy outlook concerning artificial intelligence? Or maybe artificial intelligence is like air when we are suffocating in a way? Nice pics. A lot of them look they were done on 32 bit hardware.

2:51 AI made the graphics. Probably just a prompt. No new AI optimizer for Nufli or whatever.

@@ArneChristianRosenfeldtdo was the conversion / dithering done? I mean was AI used to create the images and then hand converted and then touched up? As the dithering technique is really good

@@litjellyfish back when gif was used in the internet, dithering always went from top left to to right to bottom. That looked bad on animated gif, but good on stills. I think the trick is to have source material without a „copper sky“ so that you can’t tell dithering from texture. Let AI create a ton of images and show us top 10. Also I wonder if we still use a greedy algorithm? Especially, for animations I would fip the colors which are on the edge anyway. So you start from 24 bit. You have the complete animation in PC RAM. You have the error due to conversion to 4 bit on C64. Qsort all (pixel:address). Flip. Resort neighbourhood I think that there are already tools to try out pan and zoom and check for image quality. Run this overnight or in the cloud. Hand work the top 10 with best metric. No AI here. Just brute force.

@@litjellyfish Images were generated with Stable Diffusion / ComfyUI, then converted with our own, not yet released converter KONEWKA. No touch ups were needed. All graphics in this demo is pure multicolour mode, no fli, no sprites, no raster splitting (except for pouring effect).
