The Bülow Pyramide in Großbeeren, Brandenburg

Erected in 1906 by the citizens of Großbeeren, the fieldstone pyramide honors the Prussian General von Bülow and his troops who crushed Napoleons advancing army on the 23rd of August 1813, and hindered a second french occupation of Berlin. General von Bülows famous quote " Our bones shall bleach before of Berlin, not behind it" is engraved in one of the plaques on the pyramid.
