Glenn Brand a.k.a. DJ Technics is a native of Baltimore City and is one of the longest serving DJ/Producers working in Baltimore Clubs and abroad. Having releases stretching back to the great days of Baltimore Club on Unruly/Hardhead records throughout the nineties, Technics is also one of the original co-founders of Club Kingz crew that included Club Queen K-Swift, Dukeyman and Rod Lee. DJ Technics was also the creator of the legendary Madhouse/Clubtrax mixtapes on clear cassettes which was the prototype for the Baltimore Club evolution. His unique brand of Baltimore Club is strongly rooted in Baltimore’s history of Soul, Funk, House and Disco.
Technics is also a seasoned veteran of all genres of music and a renowned vinyl lover. His library of infinite music has provided sample sources for many of the Jersey Club classic tracks over the years. His vast knowledge of music, going back decades, makes Technics one of the most sought after and versatile DJs/producers in the industry. His original productions boast an incredibly well structured fusion of hip hop’s essence and resourceful sample jacking. As one of the "OGs" and founders, DJ Technics is the main ingredient and influential to the hype and energy of Baltimore Club's killer kicks & infectious drum programming.
The success of his countless DJ Mixes, numerous club edits, and original productions are a testament to his skills and longevity in the music industry, cementing his legacy, not just in Baltimore but worldwide.
