why the fuck has every video this kind of comment? What kind of people care about people who think music is dead?
@friesiamans19666 жыл бұрын
+skurreal - i hear you but hey, relax, this was meant positively - i´m 60, and while i want to show my daughter some of the old heroes, i came to revisiting the musical heroes of my life - 60s pop, blues rock, jazz rock, punk/noise rock, new wave, ska/rocksteady/reggae, african music, calypso/mento/soca, microhouse/goa/psytrance, folk, jazz, ambient - the list is quite long - why i write this? everywhere i read people of my age and older pouring out their scorn about the bad music of today - it annoyed me quite a lot after a while - but when i came to the african sites (fan of african music since the 70s), i saw the same comments there - since then i have to laugh about it - anyway, i know, that as long as there are humans, there will be good human music, and i like it, haha... :-) (although the music in the 60s WAS better, if you want proof of that, just listen to ohio express "chewy chewy"* - deep emotions, not like that teenie crap of today, or "yummy yummy" - and then in a pang of creativity they came up with "mercy mercy", topped only by the archies "sugar sugar" - it was a time of the BESTESTEST music ever recorded, haha - ilmao) cheers buddy, just take it easy... * i just opened that song, give it a try, it´s pathetic - best comment there: "i´ve got a migraine" - haha, way cool........
@skurreal85326 жыл бұрын
i know it was meant positively but its boring as hell.. it's annoying that people - doesn't matter what age, i know all kind of people saying this for real - have this "opinion" about nowadays music without even being deeply interested in it. Anybody claiming there is no good music anymore is just simply boring and has without a doubt no active interest in music at all. I just wanna say that those people who think they know something should better learn and listen instead of "scorning".
@friesiamans19666 жыл бұрын
+ skurreal - so very true, we´re in the same boat, mate - i think they´re conservative dullheads, sitting in their comfy chairs, clinging desperately to their old stuff, brushing off the cobwebbs off their long white beards in order to be able to write their scornful "words of widom" - yes, "scorning" is a word i was looking for - hey, don´t let it bring you down and make sure, that you´re not the same, when you´re old... :-) just listening to "Karenn - Resident Advisor 526 (27 June 2016)" - oh oh WOW, how cool is that? like a flying carpet - i´ll surely use that when i work on my photomanips again... cheers...........................
@skurreal85326 жыл бұрын
"brushing off the cobwebbs off their long white beards in order to be able to write their scornful "words of wisdom"" hahaha, great! "hey, don´t let it bring you down and make sure, that you´re not the same, when you´re old..." yes, I learned exactly that from my dad who was born '51. He always continued listening to new stuff and he is still surprising me with some delicious stuff I did not know before - also music by current acts. I am 25 btw. My opinion is: It's not about the style, genre or what kind of music it is, it is ONLY about the music itself, about the idea behind it and about the execution of it. I don't care if its trash metal, techno or cumbia, I care how I feel if I listen. Let's maybe reduce it: 'how' is it done? And the 'how' will never die as long as there are people with good ideas and musical talent. The Babe Rainbow, to be not completely off topic here, are a top notch band with lots of genius ideas and pleasant harmonies & sound - even though I like their first releases (EP + singles) more because it is perfect psych rock. Listen to the EP here if you don't know it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWPMgZiImc2Xq80 :-) "Ashmay & Dr. Love Wisdom" is my favorite, just pure class!

@KobiOneAndTheFullSacks6 жыл бұрын
come on guys£I mean, it's a decent album first of all yes, very enjoyable And second, everyone is indeed entitled to their own opinion But the beatles man, I mean what they did for music in general, do you have any idea how difficult doing what they were doing back then was? everything analog, no one that had set any kind of bar for psychedelic pop yet (or a handful at the outmost) adn music forever went a certain way. They, along with a few others, our the founding fathers of the psyche my friend, they blew it wide open, and that without easy computers, samples, the tons of easy ways of recording we have now and a world in which the most controversial music around had been jazz. And even neglecting all of the conextual factors, they are still fresher and newer than this band and many others imho. Dont get me wrong, I really enjoying thisalbum. But if yiu truly have no other way of describing what you think this music sounds like than calling it better than beatles, maybe you should just cease trying to describe it, leave that to the more eloquent amongst us, and simply enjoy it and express appreciation for it (without dragging another way odler band through the mud) Again sorry but i really couldnt leave it like this
