My theory is that the doctor is the ghost

Idea: The monkes started an underground hospital for the mine workers because they got injured quite a bit, they had no idea what caused this all to happen. But one day a doctor found out what it was, A GHOST (the one in mines rn) they tried to run, got to the gate door with their keycard but were caught and killed. :( They evacuated everybody and the mines were no longer for miners, explaining why nobody is down there and they set up a ghost tracker place in the old hospital. Now to present day where the ghost boots the monkes out of the mines, keeping its home safe… Mini idea: The ghost is a past miner who died in a cave in on the lower part of mines (explaining why at one part of it there seems to have been a cave in) the monkes working there in a hidden corner put up a vase in memorial and put the monke’s ashes in there (they found the body and burnt it to ashes cuz thats what people sometimes do) but the spirit of the monke became alive again and the ashes turned into the ghost we know today, seeking revenge since the miners weren’t there to save them (Thus causing the events above here)

this was the backstory i came up with.. TW TRIGGER WARNING!! c: Once there was a lab working with lemming that the rest of the gorillas weren’t able to see for their own safety. In this lab they had a test subject named Lucy. Lucy was willing to help test experiments. Another thing that the lab had in the twisted caves ( with the doors ) was monsters. ( The gorillas now call them ghost. ) everything was great! Eventually, Lucy started to act weird, hesitating to help with experiments. As punishment, the scientist didn’t feed her for a few days. But Lemming had stopped working with the lab. They were no longer getting paid, so they were filed for bankruptcy. Eventually, they had to shut down. As they kissed the lab goodbye, they THOUGHT they let Lucy out to roam with the other gorillas, but they didn’t. Eventually a few years later, the scientist on the keycard ( I’ll use the name Mr.Man for now ) decided to go see if the lab was still up. It was blocked, as they didn’t want the locals to find the lab, so he sat there and dug. After getting a place to get in the lab, he went to go find his keycard, and when he found it, this confused him, as his eyes were crossed out. He assumed it was nothing, but the locals assume it means someone wanted him DEAD. He eventually got in, and found Lucy’s rotting skeleton body, which it had horrified him. Feeling bad, he had tested a bit, then put her body into a vase to remember her. He decided to go see if the monsters were there in twisted caves, but they weren’t? He brushed it aside and decided to leave, yet he didn’t unblock the lab. Leaving it open to the community! Eventually, someone opened the vase, to find Lucy’s SKULL. After walking around a bit for any clues, he eventually found Lucy. After that she chased multiple, and threw them out of caves, seeming as if she didn’t want the same fate for them. Something Mr.Man also did was go into forest to ask the locals about the monsters. The locals told them they are considered ghost now, and people go ghost hunting. Getting this information, he made the conclusion the ghost had figured out a way to leave, and started terrorizing ghost hunters. After this incident, all scientist are reported missing. The gorillas found the lab and use it to have fun and troll. Lemming does not know what happened to the scientist, yet it all remains, a mystery.

My theory on what happened is that he was sent down there to try and find a cure for the lava monkeys but came a cross Lucy and had decided to study ghosts instead but there was then a breach and he was trying to live by keeping the gates closed but died.
