Had to laugh at how in the opening credits Bette Davis and Humphrey Bogart were "second tier" players (lettering smaller than Nagel and Fox, whose names are hardly recognizable now. Davis and Bogart are legends who live on into Hollywood infinity, and this might be the last time Davis played a "good" sister, lol.) Loved the narcissistic "selfies" over the "bad sister's" bed. Frankly, I'm enjoying the irritable women, especially the put-upon maid - "That lazy, good for nothin' thing!" (the spoiled rotten "sister"), sad sack relatives, and Henry, the devilish little brother. This is actually an ahead-of--its-time depiction of the typical dysfunctional family.

I wish all the old films could be restored this well, and without tacky colorization-TY! Great Davis & Bogart, and the others were good as well. It's has an interesting plot and doesn't drag along. Pitts is a mess: "Humph, humph, humph"- lol Sappy movies are often worth watching, although it seems strange now that people liked such movies. This is good sappy.

Set a goal today to watch all of BD’s movies today beginning with Of Human Bondage before deciding to go in chronological order. This restoration is amazing. Starting over in succession and I hope to find a restored copy of that movie.

Bette Davis and Humphrey Bogart were also in DARK VICTORY (1939), which also starred George Brent, Ronald Reagan, and Geraldine Fitzgerald. In addition, Humphrey Bogart and Sidney Fox were also in MIDNIGHT (1934) also known as CALL IT MURDER.

Bette Davis was always so embarrassed about her performance in her first movie, but I don't think she's so bad here. The script & editing & everyone else's acting is HORRIBLE, she's actually one of the few bright spots. This print looks great BTW

While I appreciate your effort, I'm really disappointed that you've transferred this to 50fps - it was not the original refresh/frame rate of the film and it has made the film looking like a video transfer with the wrong setting or "Telenovela effect" aka motion smoothing. Please re-upload this with right frame rate.

@@TheBandL3 I think Made for Each Other is a classic. I mean when Carole Lombard leaves that New Years Eve party crying? That's gold. But the poor video and audio quality dates the movie and detracts from the experience, including the performances of Jimmy Stewart and Carole Lombard. A better viewing experience would allow more folks to appreciate and enjoy the story and performances. But I also realize that these restorations probably take a lot of time and effort. So that's a consideration, I'm sure. I appreciate your time and effort.
