I have the floating version and it’s killer in grass ponds. Rod tip down it will run about 2-3’ under, rod tip up or a slower retrieve it is can damn near be a wake bait. It walks like a DREAM too. Mine gets bit very consistently with the regular tail. I always have it tied on while pond hopping.

Great bait dude. Have many of the colors. Got that Jungle Perch originally because they don’t have a crappie pattern and that’s close enough. Have gotten some nice bites on the move, and absolutely smashed on the pause as well. 😎🤙🏽

My SS only floats when I use the paddle tail. Pretty sure that's what does it. I just add some weight
