Our collab of our lives is finally here! After three years of being friends online, we camped out with Benjo and Rox Dimaandal of Tricycle Diaries at The Balite Hideout in Amadeo, Cavite. Only 22 minutes away from the Tagaytay Rotonda, this simple affordable campsite has a lot to offer. With their riverside dipping pools and natural mini falls on site, it offers campers a rejuvenating break in the midst of nature.
Entrance is P180 per pax for overnight camping, P150 for seniors and ch8ldren 3 to 7 years old (2 and below are free of charge). No extra charge for tent pitching, car camping, or parking. The camping area itself enjoys the cover of trees. The campsite itself has no running water yet, but being close to the river, it has ample water provisions in the bathrooms for washing and bathing.
Upriver, the Balite Falls is a local tourist destination. The campsite's caretaker took us on a guided tour there. There are two options: the boring road, or an exciting river trek. Guess which option we took?
