This Balvenie sells for close to $180 here in SoCal. If I’m in the mood for a French Oak influenced whisky, I’ll settle for a Glenlivet 15 for $65.

Good to see Balvenie coming through on the alcohol level if not the other labeling issues. This is not even available online in Japan. The Doublewood 12 is just under $50, which is not the best value for the price.

Want french oak? Makers 46 is really good and not very expensive. The game of thrones bottle Mortlach 6 kingdoms used alot of french oak casks, its long gone now though. I don't like this luxury branded whiskys that we are going into but what can you do.

Hi Jason Love the channel , love the way you present your opinions , all good stuff . You sense a BUT ( only my opinion ) but your scoring system C+ or D- etc etc is just too bloody complicated for a simple man like me ,🤣and many others I presume , what’s wrong with good old marks out of 10 it’s so much more relatable .IMO 👍

I teach for a living - and everybody got grades in school. I find the 1-10 system more confusing. As nothing that it is 0-5 is something I would drink
