@warmlandlass1 -Its the late Richard Bell, former piano player for Full Tilt Boogie etc,who joined the Band in 91 and was with them till Rick passed away.Richard Bell passed away in 2007 from cancer.A great CD,which included Richards great version of Country Boy,but Richard had died in 86.

Richard Manuels piano mastery on SHINE A LIGHT still captures my heart, as do the lyrics

On this album it's the late Richard Bell on piano (ex-Ronnie Hawkins, ex-King Biscuit Boy-Crowbar, ex- Joplin's Full Tilt Boogie Band, etc.). Not to diss Manuel's keyboard excellence everywhere else when Garth hadn't sidled in to the piano bench.

Is the same band of "The Weight" and "The night they drow old dixie down"? Great song!

Not quite. The name is the same. One left (Robbie Robertson), one died (Richard Manuel). Three remained (Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson). There were three new members (Richard Bell, Jim Weider, Randy Ciarlante). Jericho was the first album of this renewed outfit of The Band, there were two to follow. In 2021 only Robertson and Hudson are still alive.
