I just purchased both an upgrade kit and stabilizer for my 14" Delta bandsaw. I tried using the stabilizer with a 1/8", 14 tpi blade and it twisted so much that the blade wanted to come out of the slot. I have everything set up as shown in both the instructions and videos (all other guides retracted), and I believe I have the proper tension, but I don't seem to be able to even cut a radius as small as I could with the old blocks. I was trying to cut a comfort bird pattern from 2" square basswood, which shouldn't be too demanding. Based on the performance I've seen in the videos, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what. Wrong blade, not enough tension, or ??

Any reason not to have a grooved thrust bearing in all guide upgrade kits, with the side bearings easily removable for scroll cutting?

Alex is coming to my town in a couple weeks for a demo that I am going to watch, I would have to assume he will have these guides for sale there? I am interest in this product for my new Rikon 10 inch saw, if the demo goes well (which it will) I will want to get one for bandsaw box making. Cya soon

Do you need two Stabilzer Guides on the Jet 14 inch bandsaw using a 3/16 inch blade?

@@CarterProductsI have the Porter Cable 9” bench top bandsaw. And I’m looking forward to buying a 14” one. The reason is lack of clearance & power. Also when I try to cut slightly curbed the blade seems to wander & twist. Will this stabilizer hopefully help?
