When I watched this show I didn't know Howie was the banker till the finale. I thought the banker was the guy from the original 4 seasons of DEAL OR NO DEAL. The sad part is, we'll never know who the banker was in the original version.

@@GAME-SHOW-FANthe Banker in the OG series is actually one of the executive producers of the show. His name is Glenn Hugill. I imagine he actually did have a real role in determining the amount of money in his offers. He had to have been somewhat familiar with the financial aspect of the show as an executive producer.

Deal or no Deal Island 1 time. His wedding to Amber was a 2 hour television event in prime time on CBS. He had a reality TV show with Amber in Las Vegas after they were married. He had another reality TV show with him traveling around the world. He had a recent show with him traveling around Boston. Those are the appearances I can think of. Rob would not keep being invited on to reality TV shows if he was not good TV.

that info isn't much of a secret if you look hard enough. Peter Abbay was the original Banker while Carrie Lauren was the CNBC or 2.0 banker at least the banker figures we kinda see in a darkened room. They aren't the ones who give the offers out, they just act based on what they hear of the offers since the offers are actually coming from the Executive Producers so Howie being the Banker here actually makes sense since the offers for this island series were likely coming from him anyway

Just finished the season. There was a bit of a logic problem throughout this show. Besides the final game every other game of deal or no deal you almost want to get out some of the big numbers first. They seemed to always be rooting for low numbers but say you have big numbers ranging from 1mil to 6mil if you get a few of those out, your offer is still gonna be higher than most of the numbers on the board. Take Robs game with the banker for example. He got out a lot of big numbers first and by the time he made the deal he had a only a 1/7 chance of being eliminated.

The best part is they film this on Isla Colon, Bocas Del Toro, Panama on the grounds of Manuel Noriega’s old drug smuggling compound at the end of Bluff Road. This isn’t a private island and isn’t what they portray it to be…. Plus it’s on an ex dictators property that was used to smuggle drugs with Pablo Escobar while being a CIA informant in the 1980’s. Look up La Piscina beach and all the broken up structures left is where they file this, it’s not even on one of the actually private islands here. No harm no foul but just funny when you know the honest truth of where this is filmed!!

A little less than half, but yeah, it’s still around half. Which sucks, considering that people in other countries, like Canada and the United Kingdom, DON’T HAVE TO PAY TAXES ON THEIR WINNINGS AT ALL! And yet WE AMERICANS HAVE TO?! SO unfair!
