When I watched this show I didn't know Howie was the banker till the finale. I thought the banker was the guy from the original 4 seasons of DEAL OR NO DEAL. The sad part is, we'll never know who the banker was in the original version.

Deal or no Deal Island 1 time. His wedding to Amber was a 2 hour television event in prime time on CBS. He had a reality TV show with Amber in Las Vegas after they were married. He had another reality TV show with him traveling around the world. He had a recent show with him traveling around Boston. Those are the appearances I can think of. Rob would not keep being invited on to reality TV shows if he was not good TV.

that info isn't much of a secret if you look hard enough. Peter Abbay was the original Banker while Carrie Lauren was the CNBC or 2.0 banker at least the banker figures we kinda see in a darkened room. They aren't the ones who give the offers out, they just act based on what they hear of the offers since the offers are actually coming from the Executive Producers so Howie being the Banker here actually makes sense since the offers for this island series were likely coming from him anyway

Not necessarily, in the previous episodes when the winner wasn't decided, the offers only went up as long as there was still two or more high value cases left. When Amy played against the banker halfway through the season, the offer dropped from $825,000 to $467,000 because she knocked out the only seven-figure amount. There was still $850,000 on the board however. In the case of Jordan, the winner of the season, the offer went up from $1,197,000 to $1,230,000 because there was still $4,500,000 AND $5,000,000 in play, despite the elimination of $13,857,000.

The best part is they film this on Isla Colon, Bocas Del Toro, Panama on the grounds of Manuel Noriega’s old drug smuggling compound at the end of Bluff Road. This isn’t a private island and isn’t what they portray it to be…. Plus it’s on an ex dictators property that was used to smuggle drugs with Pablo Escobar while being a CIA informant in the 1980’s. Look up La Piscina beach and all the broken up structures left is where they file this, it’s not even on one of the actually private islands here. No harm no foul but just funny when you know the honest truth of where this is filmed!!
