I’m a rocker at heart: Van Halen, AC/DC, Montrose, Deep Purple, Led Zepplin… but I will always have a spot in my heart and music library for The Irish Rovers going back to my childhood. My late grandmother (of Irish descent), before she died, called me to her, shook my hand with her two hands, said goodbye and sent me away.I was 11 years old.I didn't feel she was leaving. It was night, I was in bed and I heard cries/screems.I ran to see if she was okay, but the sounds didn't come from her room.I went out on the balcony and it sounded even louder there.I was like in ecstasy.I did not know what to feel - no sadness, no fear, no peace or joy.I was just listening to those moans. The next day, family friends came to our house to help my father with the funeral. She was gone.I felt a huge emptiness in my heart, I remember it as a physical pain. She was gone, and the cries were over ... Thank you for this masterpiece that will always remind me of my grandma. P.S. Excuse me for my bad English, I'm born in Bulgaria.

I have listened your music many years and I'm glad there is many years in future too :) Keep up good work lads! Edit: One and half year later they found incurable pancreatic cancer from my mother... Maybe it's not fair but I still feel lucky that she is still alive and I can help her with knowledge from my lymphoma and we can enjoy things for her last months or years. Some decades hence, and this is far removed from the fanciful tale of those silly unicorns...but I gotta say, I do love love the 'new' Irish Rovers sound...this song is amazing, even as it evokes the terrors of the tales me Da and Gran told me of those mythical folk that haunt the Emerald Isle....

Regarding to the stories, I heard from good old Ireland, the one and only who doesent hear the Banshees cry, was the one, who later draw his final breath... so long you hear the Banshee howling, you are save. Or I am mistaken? For I am not Irish, I am from Dresden in Germany.

Isn’t it 3 slow methodical knocks on the door and then a shriek. From what I remember from my granny anyways
