Pastor Charles. I recieved a prayer language/utterance when I was delivered and born again. I'm not vocal about it nor take boastful position as those who interpret scripture to form doctrine. Theres an intimacy between Jesus and I in my prayer closet. Sometimes its words of my own hearts burdens vocalized unto the Lord. Sometimes it's simple groaning when I dont know what to pray. Sometimes theres a unexpected sweet communion between Jesus and I in a language I cant interpret except that there is birthed his sweet living presence and reciprocal intimacy that brings me to a supernatural place of worship. My heart burns with gentle fire. My mind is at peace. My tongue gets hot like fire. I dont quite understand it but the fruits are peace. A mind of christ. Holiness. Strength. Renewed conviction. As good a Pastors as few I listen to are. They like men fall short. I still respect them and deeply appreciate them. But tongues are a very real attribute in 2023.

I wish there was a million pastors like you pastor Charles, instead there are to many false pastors and church leaders. It hurts my heart so bad that so many people are being deceived that it feels like my chest will explode. So I pray for God to tell me what I need to do in this life not what I want, but what God wants and I can’t wait till the day that I walk into heaven. I can’t even find a church right now where I’m at, the past two years I have not been going to church. I just been studying the word and watching sermons like yours on my own. I'm so glad I watched this I went to a church and asked to be baptized and they refused because I was not a member and said the internet has influenced me a lot and wanted me to be discipled first he said I didn't need to be baptized because I've accepted Christ into my heart. I'm so dissapointed because I wanted to be baptized , I've read the kjv 3 times and pray to Jesus each day . I wanted the holy Spirit because it says you need baptism to receive the holy Spirit in acts, I'm glad this wonderful pastor in this video has cleared this up for me , thank you pastor lawson, God bless you.

Listen to the context! He's saying you don't have to speak in tongues to go be with The Lord in Heaven. And that's absolutely right. Speaking in tongues doesn't get you a ticket to Heaven. True repentance by His grace redeemed by His Blood gets us to Heaven. I don't speak in tongues, I'm pentecostal, I believe in tongues though.

I don't understand why the people started with the gift of speaking in tongues..what actually happened on the day of the Pentecost was not speaking in tongues but hearing in their own tongue. So is that gift of speaking or gift of hearing?! :)

The Holy spirit entered my heart and for the first time in my life I felt love along with what it felt like to want to be alive. I was 33 when it happened, before that, suicide plagued my mind my entire life. I never received love from anyone and was neglected and abandoned. I've been through many many deaths of family and friends...mostly suicides and O.d's I spent the majority of my time alone and felt no comfort around anyone. I am positive it was the Holy Spirit that filled my heart along with the comfort of promised agape love. I'm no longer alone and I'm grateful. Although there were no "acts" of swirling winds nor foreign/new languages . A misunderstood "act" to display how the Sprit enters. Someone may have the Holy Spirit but take the bible word for word as perfect and since they don't speak new languages they make stuff up...(pride) While some may be just lying. Can't serve 2 masters though. (Matt 6:24) I trust the lord not man, and I believe his voice . (John 10:27-28) (Prov 3:5-6) Holy Spirit =Holy Bible=The Word(Jesus) I am learning the language of love and how to Speak from the heart instead of my brains understanding . It is very good.👻🤍👻

I don't know why that Church of God of Prophesy person told that lady she didn't have the Holy Spirit. We are classical old time Pentecostals and I can tell you we don't believe that. You can't be saved without the Holy Ghost. Everyone who is born again is born of the Spirit. That person is just ignorant. We also have a good crowd on Wednesday night just like we do on Sunday. Our people are very faithful. Most modern Pentecostals are completely backslid. We are KJV only, traditional hymn singing, shouting, Holiness Church. And I love Bro. Lawson's preaching. I may not agree with him on every point of doctrine, but I think he's the real deal. I appreciate him and much of what he preaches. He would be welcome to preach in my church anytime.

Romans 15:13, "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost". The Holy Ghost (Spirit) is there to strengthen you, the Comforter which abides in the believer as a good conscience in the actions you make and the things you say. You pray when you appeal to the Holy Spirit in you, a personal appeal, like a cry for help or just reassurance. The prayer in St Matthew 6 was before the kingdom praying for the kingdom to come. We now have the kingdom and the works of Jesus to read about and faith in and accept his Holy Spirit, and we pray to the Holy Spirit in us, he is our inner strength we get from Jesus.

I gave clear scripture in my above statement if you can't interpret tongues just so happens to be that one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is "interpretation of tongues" 1Cor12:10. If you would like that gift all you have to do is ask as stated in Luke11:13"how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" When Jesus said go into all the world..... did he send them to a local University to learn all those languages ?? No, that is where the gift came in. They had a gift to speak the dialect of the country they were preaching in. Everyone in the Pentecostal churches I have attended speaks and understands English.... there is no need to speak in a foreign language. Even IF that gift is as you believe it is, an unknown tongue, then it is still done out of order. Always women speaking in the "tongue" and always a woman interpreting. The interpretation is always the same. A weeping woman stands and says something similar to this, " OHHH my children. Ohhhhh how I want to be closer to you. ohhhh, I have some much in store for you, if you will seek me more I will give you more, ohhhhh how I yearn for you ". There have been people go into a Pentecostal church and speak a foreign language on purpose to test them.... then a woman stands up and gives an interpretation that is NOT what the person said, proving it to be bogus. If you know someone who is fluent in a foreign language, bring them to your church and have them say something and watch someone stand up and make up an interpretation. Also, the preachers will be preaching then mix in a little tongue talk. Tongues were never meant for self edification. He is not edifying the church by speaking gibberish thru the microphone without an interpretation. The Swaggarts do that often. I do not watch them but Jimmy is my mothers hero so when I am over there I have to listen to it. It gets a big response from the congregation but it does no one any good. Just makes him look more " anointed". I was raised around the Pentecostal church and came out several years ago because what they say and reality is 2 different things. Speaking in tongues gives them power, they say. But yet, they have no more power than I do when it comes to sin. Jim Baker was speaking in tongues the whole time he was scamming people. Jimmy Swaggart was speaking in tongues while being entertained with prostitutes. TD Jakes speaks in tongues while being Oprah Winfreys best buddy and even allowed her to teach a "life class" at his church, even though Oprah denies Jesus as the only way. Those are the well known examples. The people who I know personally who speak in tongues do not have sound doctrine and struggle with sin. We will struggle as long as we are in this human body.....BUT......if tongues gives them power, they should be living more holy lives than what they do. NOT trying to argue or debate.....just giving you my experience and a little bit on why I left that denomination.

In Haiti a group of mockers gathered around when I was talking to a little girl's parents about her being saved. I didn't know what to do so I started praying in tongues. John 20 :22 then he breathed on them and said , receive the ' Holy Spirit '. This is where the apostles were born again and they got saved, But they needed something else, And it was the 'Baptism in the Holy Spirit ' with the evidence of speaking in tongues. There's a big difference between recieving the Holy spirit and being baptized IN THE HOLY SPIRIT. I dont doubt pastor Lawson is a holy man of God, but he lacks the evidence of speaking in tongues , 1Corinthians 14:5 I wish you could all speak in tongues!

In 1 cor 14 verse 5 Paul wishes that all would speak in tongues.. Because he knows that it will help them.. It's good for the person himself.. But to prophecy is something else, it's for the congregation.. To encourage the people in the congregation.. And, to say that a gift from the holy spirit is of no use is to blaspheme and like saying that the holy spirit was wrong giving the gift.. This preacher has gone out of the scripture preaching like that.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Greek word for tongue is the same word as language in Greek: glossa, only language has a capital G - Glossa vs glossa, where we get the word glossary from (remember, our NT was transliterated from Greek and our OT from Hebre, Aramaic, and Greek. The Latin word for tongue is lingua, or language. So when Paul is talking about tongues in 1 Corinthians chapter 14, he is directly referring to language. When Paul lists the different gifts people have (I forget which epistle it was - my apologies bc this is from memory) and says some have the gift of tongues and some the gift of interpretation of tongues…he means some have the gift of learning many languages, while others have the gift of interpretation of many languages. I can speak English and some Spanish, and know a few dozen Greek and Hebrew words (a fancy way of saying I only speak English fluently lol). I had a friend (may he R.I.P.) in the army who was a linguist and a translator who spoke 8 languages fluently. He had the gift of glossa in Greek or lingua in Latin. Denominations who believe in speaking of tongues (in babble) have never studied Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, or Latin. If they had, they’d understand what God revealed to me in Bible study last week that I’m sharing here. I learned this in Bible study last week from my pastors (a combined 92 years of preaching and both are fluent in Greek and Hebrew), read the Scriptures, and God provided this as the perfect forum to relay a spiritual truth as well, and understand the difference between what happened on Pentecost Vs every other time the word tongues are used in our English vsn of the KJB. I pray all who read this have revealed to them this spiritual truth. God bless those with the gift of language! If not for those who can speak and interpret languages, we wouldn’t have the Word of God transliterated into over 700 languages! Praise His holy and righteous name! Amen 🙏🏻

Tongues is real. its a heavenly language. This is what it means to pray in the spirit. 1Cor 14:2 "for anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed no one understands them, they utter mysteries by the Spirit". Im in a spirit filled small church. No one speaks in my church in tongues "to the church" bc no one can interpret. Many think they have the Holy Ghost once they believe but that's not true. Read Acts 19:1-6.To have the Holy Ghost will give you power & his authority. Did Jesus speak in tongues ? It was an early church gift to spread the gospel & edify the new church. I got the Holy Ghost when I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. I resent someone who tells me I need something more. I look at the fruit that the "tongues people" produce. Attacking someone who has the Holy Ghost is denying the Holy Ghost in me and that's blasphemy.

It seems to me Pastor you are confused with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Salvation. We are saved when we accept Jesus as Savior and we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. But that is not Baptism of the Holy Spirit --- "Ye shall receive Power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you ..." which happened on the day of Pentecost.

I say pray to the Father in Jesus' name. The point of praying to the father through Jesus is that you must profess your belief that God came to earth as 100% sinless man who became the ultimate sacrifice for mankind. There is only one God and he came as Jesus in the flesh and dwells with us in the spirit. They are all HIM, God. It seems confusing sometimes, but Jesus is God the author of creation.

God DOES keep us saved I've always have known it ,we cant save ourselves hence we need a savior God is not an Indian giver I know that's not pc lol. I truly believe that once you are saved and you are born again a new man shedding off the old your saved period .Now that's not to say we wont make mistakes along the way believe me I've made a lot in my Christian walk some really stupid ones too lol but I have been chastised and brought back to the herd several times ,people confuse this part it doesn't mean you live your life however you want and just keep on sinning because honestly if you've been truly saved your not going to want to keep messing up it sucks I know from experience lol YES I still sin NO I don't want to YES I am saved NO it can not be taken from me NO MATTER HOW MUCH I SIN and NO I don't want to sin continuously because I just don't want to anymore seriously even though I do sometimes ROMANS 7:15-25 sums it up for me .I'm not trying to set a record for most sins committed while saved , I feel compelled not to sin these days because of the Holy Spirit once you are saved YES you truly are saved period !! Sins from the past sins today sins in the future but I know the truly saved aren't looking for sin at the same time its easy and its complicated and it's beautiful thank you Jesus for giving us your patience while we work out our salvation through fear and trembling great way to put it James Graham seriously I liked that !! Brother he is confused, the Lord Jesus breathe the holy spirit to the desiples before, but after His resuraction He told them to go and way from the promes of the father in the upper room until they recived power from high. That when they recived the baptism of the Holly spirit. I received the holy spirit when I get saved and month later the Lord batism me with the power of the holy Spirit. IAM sorry that you don't believed in baptism of the holy Spirit. It's the most powerful and wonderful revelation that any one ever had. You will love the Lord Jesus like you never did before, he becomes so real that you you will never be the same. Don't preach a gainst it if you never have received, just ask the Lord to show you. I attended a Baptist church and was even baptized in titles and felt nothing different in my life or my thoughts or anything about me however in 2013 I went to a Pentecostal church and was rebaptized in the Name of Jesus and 4 days later in service as I was shouting Hallelujah unto God and I started speaking in a language I knew not. So you can believe whatever you choose to believe about gibberish as you call it but that is my own testimony and to me that is when I was "born again" and the Spirit of truth set me free. It is a lifechanging event and when it happens there is no doubt whether you have received and when you received. The Bible speaks about those who deny the power thereof and so you see not everyone that claims to have the Spirit of God actually has the Spirit of God even though they believe themselves that they do. Acts 5:32 God gives the Holy Ghost to those that Obey HIM and if you continue in reading in the book of ACTS most all documentations of receiving that are spoken of show tongues and utterance as the sign of those that receive. It is what the Bible states clearly it is not an independent theory of irrational belief. Remember there are those that JESUS will not recognize even though they have cast out devils and such in HIS Name. Do you honestly think if someone truly has HIS Spirit that He will not recognize them or is it more likely that they never had HIS Spirit to begin with but thought they did? "There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one; and there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit and the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one" 1 John 5:7-8. We each are held accountable for what we teach and for our own salvation and I have heard the testimonies of others who have received the Holy Ghost even at home while reading the Bible and were given utterance so I would not reject the things that are of spiritual nature just because you believe it to be unnecessary but continue in seeking God for HE is a rewarder of those that diligently seek HIM. It wasn't until I truly started seeking HIM with all my heart, mind, body and soul that I received the Holy Ghost as evidenced by a new tongue. Some are given syllables and others have words. No one is alike in this. God delivered me from drugs (cocaine, morphine and xanax), alcohol (a daily drinker for over 30 years), and cigarettes (smoking over 40 years) at that time and also healed me from incurable illnesses (HIV positive and Morgellons disease) when I was brought into His marvelous light. I lost my home and pretty much everything else but I gained my soul and new found freedom without oppression now living in Christ every day; HE is all I live for. I do not know what country you are in but I can only tell you if you have an opportunity to feel the presence of God at work in a church and yes I mean Pentecostal I do recommend that you give it a try.
