The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

I grew up in a church that didn't walk in the baptism of the holy spirit. I began reading the Bible for myself over 20 years ago, but it was really only 5 years ago that I realized I needed this form of baptism. I have been praying but am still waiting. My heart longs for this.

Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. My wife and I both were prayed for to receive the Holy Spirit but I didn't begin speaking in tongues and she did. She helped me by telling me to just start making some sounds with my tongue and just relax. I began to speak in tongues with her help. I was expecting something to just take over but it turned out that I was blocking this gift with my own expectations. It really is very natural.

so I have experienced this it started with me longing for it too, it can sometimes be our will that we need to exercise like a muscle to strengthen our spirit. I learned to praise and worship it took like 3 months it was awkward at first, that was huge for me. The other huge thing for me was I learned to put the Lord at the forefront of my heart and mind, this is the trick to it, and I resisted anything that I even suspected was sin. Woah girl, talk about your spirituality kicking in, I’m telling you something happened when I did this and I consistently walked in it for about a year. girl it was like being in heaven while I was on the earth. I’ve never seen Him like some people do but for real this was just as good. I Leah’s wondered about this period in my life, and I finally learned just recently that what I did on my own was a weapon we have called consecration, I had spiritually consecrated myself to the Lord during that time. Like, people who do drugs don’t know they are missing out on so,something so much better, I think this is the void they are trying to fill. But it takes practice and learning a disciplined life, is part of it but more like…just loving God and putting him at the forefront of your day, your actions and your decisions and maintaining it and I made church going a part of it and that really helped me too 🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪 wow I remember it I healed my dog of a seizure at this time told my dog it was gone and it immediately left 🙌🙌🙌💪🔥

Many years ago The Lord gave me a dream, in my dream I was saying 30 times it is all about the Holly Spirit and I wake-up.

I don’t understand how someone can be a Christian and walk this walk without the Holy Spirit. I can’t live this life without Him.

The way I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit was progressive. I felt close to the LORD in childhood and prayed for Holy Spirit to come. At age 12 I received 1 word, Adonai, as I knelt in the sand at a Church camp after a missionary service. Then, about 18 years later, I was kneeling in the livingroom praying for a neighbor, and waiting on the LORD. I believe I was praising the LORD for awhile, and realized my speech was no longer English, but I recognized names of acquaintances in my prayer. The people who I named became miraculously used of God to lead my neighbor to the LORD ❤ This gift has been very helpful in praying a cover over friends and family through many years since then. The LORD saved them from bad circumstances.

@@lindaswisher3583 I have the Holy Spirit prompting me and changing me to be more like Him, I’m a different person than I was, but I don’t have the gift of tongues. I’ve asked the Lord about it, and for it, but He hasn’t given me that gift. It’s okay, He is still doing a work in me.

poor thing, I remember always feeling that way and always feeling overwhelmed, ask quietly inside yourself to God for God to take it away, practice going to him for comfort, believe that you connect to him and that he is there to help you, practice this, he is near to you and he loves you

Hi, I just came across your channel and video. You mentioned Reinhart bony (sorry don't know how to spell right) I've never heard of him before, but after viewing you video I looked his name here on youtube, and I don't know how long you've been following his teachings but just to let you know becareful with him, as he married Benny Hinn and some woman in their wedding. When I got saved I feel I to was baptized in the holyspirit,,I ran to the altar heard a voice say if your really serious this time I cried and repented and a hot feeling came down from the top of my head all the way down to my feet like warm oil, When I looked up and faced the congregation everyone was just staring at me and the preacher was just crying,, I walked away never saw anyone at that church again 0:00 but I immediately found a church close to home was baptized and lead hundreds of people to the lord the first 2 years,I still have never spoke in tongues

Is being baptized in the Holy Spirit the same thing as falling down under the power and presence of the Lord? I'm still trying to figure all this out.

It's spiritual baptism, aka regeneration, aka born again. It is necessary for salvation. And it does precede a living hope/faith 1 Peter 1:3. Read John 3, where Jesus speaks with Nicodemus about regeneration and faith/belief in Him. In Acts 8, the temporal order was faith until they received the Spirit.
