The problem with removing the clove is you change the characteristics of a Bay Rum - which is why PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum leans more into a Cola scent IMO, which is great in its own right. Douglas created something great with that scent!! It’s a shame that due to natural desasters, authentic Bay Rums like Bello or Dominica aren’t available anymore 😢

So glad to hear you guys are bay rum fans. Bay rum is definitely a love/hate scent. I am a bay rum lover. Even though it’s a Caribbean scent, in my opinion bay rum is a great fall scent. I’ve smelled many bay rums and atomic age bay rum is by far the best one I’ve ever smelled. Like you said, the smoothness is crazy, I don’t know how he does it. Doug is a whiz with his bay rum. Second place for me is his “atomic pumpkin” bay rum. Another great review guys, enjoy your weekend!

I find this one sweeter than other bay rums. This one definitely stands on its own and is an awesome scent. I would recommend HC&C Bay Rum for more typical scent minus the clove scent.
