When you die you swoon...then after a time you will be awakened by...bright light and crashing thunderous sound and all of your fears....at that moment you will either embrace the light and all of your fears or you will swoon in fear again....for 49 days for hard cases...embrace the Light...or be reborn to try again...that is the buddest Way of thinking in the 49 days of the Bardo.

Life is suffering... That is why we need to gain enlightenment (nirvana) . Nirvana is a state of mind that is free from suffering and negative emotions, and is filled with compassion. It is also considered to be a state of profound spiritual joy. After 49 days (death) your soul will reincarnated either you become animal, a ghost or a favorable human body, its a never ending cycle. Although if you gain nirvana souls can decide they will go back or will never want back to return into life there some souls will back but there memories will erase and repeat the cycle again...
