This is one of my all time favourite Irish songs, and Diarmuid O'Leary & The Bards sing a fantastic version. The song was written by the wonderful songwriter Percy French, who came from County Roscommon, Ireland. Diarmuid O'Leary & The Bards are based in County Dublin, and this song is a track from their excellent album ''Classic Irish Ballads'' Many thanks to mrbarney boo for making and uploading this fabulous video.
