Love this. Like Tom Petty came, held my hand and took me somewhere momentarily magical ❤

Real great song. It has every thing a good song needs: Real nice melody, good voice(s) and a cool guitar solo. Love it :-)

Queens Of The Breakers lyrics: It'll never come easy Babe if it don't come clean And if it won't come sweet, babe Sometimes it comes mean Its like trying to put a fire out With matches and gasoline We've been going around and around But how have you really been? You know we were good friends Its funny how we don't talk I flew over your city last night On a red-eye flight from New York I was looking for you down on the ground Wondering if you still remember The way that we just walked around Like the Queens of the Breakers I've been making up time I've been borrowing it too I've been taking advice that I Threw off in my youth Should have left it right there where you found it Instead of picking it up You wanted the world, but you drowned it At the bottom of the blues Its a reckoning feeling At the bottom of the blues We're begging and stealing You were ready to confuse Knowing and believing But you were right about the blues You were wrong about the meaning Talked with your mother We remembered when you were sick Felt like no one could help you You were falling and falling quick And it made a very heavy sound Like thunder on the mountain We were waiting for you to come around With the Queens of the Breakers I've been making up time and borrowing it too and I’ve been taking off disguises that I know are not true Should have left it right there where you found it You had to pick it up You wanted the world, but you drowned it At the bottom of the blues Is your arbitrator giving up At the broken alter of your love? Took the sugar out of your coffee cup Every sulfur morning, waking up At the bottom of the blues At the bottom of the blues At the bottom of the blues But you were right about the blues Written by Andrew Barr / Brad Barr / Sarah Pagé / Nathan Moore

I get what you’re saying. I think it’s got a resonant vibrations that’s evocative of our primal selves… before we were tainted by the “reality” beaten into us by dogma and socialization. I think it’s certainly why I get choked up by almost everything that’s even remotely profound. Have you ever heard the hypothesis that children truly understand the mysteries of the world vis a vis being human until they’re indoctrinated by humanity? It’s like that. The beckoning sounds of that guitar represents the space between what you believe and who you truly are, and that breaks your heart into a thousand pieces without you knowing why.

Gorgeous track. And it's made me look up every live version I can find on KZbin. And all of those are cool in their own way, too!

The original queens Racing up and down Dragging all over uptown If Ya know what I mean So many lifetimes ago Softly spoken Freedom fighters Already dieing Just trying too be heard and seen But We're still alive were still here Enough is enough It's gonna be so ruff and mean But It's about to be our time Yeah the queens of the breakers are still alive Nothing ventured nothing gained wrinkled Old Latin Playboy's Wrapped in gold chains Scream Fortune favors the bold You can always see it in their eyes Almost right threw That's means you too Looking up from the bottom is a hell of a view share it with us lucky few That way You'll never ever forget the truth You always knew P$ (Thanks Barr bros You got me threw another long lonely nite)c

Nice sound, nice but not distinctive voices. Standard and rather dull backbeat. Repetitious melody line like most of the other stuff out there these days. Pleasant to dance to, but not something I'd listen to in the foreground.

You should listen to more, and maybe catch them live. "like other stuff" is not a thought I had during a single moment of their performance
