5:50 For comparison, the black Geiger counter (on the left) is showing 160 micro Sieverts. The normal background radiation, where I live, is 0.17 micro Sieverts. I have a Terra-P+ Geiger counter. (It's just a more sensitive version of the one in the video.)

@@chernobylvicky You do know the Basement rooms max out the Giger counters... They still have life limiting radiation in said rooms. You`ve probably disturbed so mush radio active dust you`ve limited your life and other peoples lives with you.... Ps, you may even set off radiation alarms in Airports thus putting you on Terrorist watch lists...

@@chernobylvicky Hisashi Ouchi Suffered an 83-day Death By Radiation Poisoning... On the morning of Sept. 30, 1999, at a nuclear fuel-processing plant in Tokaimura, Japan, 35-year-old Hisashi Ouchi and two other workers were purifying uranium oxide to make fuel rods for a research reactor. Hisashi Ouchi was the most affected: he was exposed to an amount of radiation between 10,000 and 20,000 millisieverts. It is the highest radiation exposure that a human being has ever recived. Way past Chernobyl levels..... Masato Shinohara was exposed to a radiation dose of 6,000 - 10,000 millisieverts and died on April 27, 2000, after months of treatment. His colleague Yutaka Yokokawa, who had been exposed to a radiation level of between 1000 - 5000 millisieverts, managed to survive after some time in hospital.

The other comrade goes downstairs without a mask? Who told you these were radioactive suits and masks? You need at least a "Level C" suit to go down there...
@ligmasack9038Ай бұрын
Seeing as how they don't use A,B,C, etc. for protection levels, you are wrong; as a simple Tyvek suit would be sufficient to protect against any Gamma Radiation being emitted by those Clothes, etc.

Great video! Read the book written by Svetlana Alexievich if you are interested in the life of people who suffered from this accident. She has intervied a lot of people, recorded heir stories and written a book about it. It's very powerful and sad, she shares the voices from people who suffered from this accident. I personally think that everyone should read this. She is from Belarus and was nomineted Nobel Prize
