One thing not mentioned here is to AVOID HUNTING PRESSURE when spot & stock hunting. On public land, you will most likely be after elk/deer who have herded up and are on the move, ... the same herd 100 other hunters, in your area, are after and have spotted.

I was gonna stalk and hunt blacktail fall 2021 and I wasn't able to for 2 reasons. 1) Getting a 30-30 lever action is hard right now 2) I transitioned jobs and needed to focus on my work... Soon though
