I have 3 years of Kendo practice and it still impresses me! Kendo is not complex. How can something so simple be so hard to master? Kendo is very visual deluding. You can only really see whats happening when you know the technique.

I started Kendo about three years ago, it is a great sport and martial art. It has taught me that if I think I am at my limit I can always pull out "just one more cut". I recommend Kendo to anyone looking to build confidence, fitness or anyone who just has a interest in Japanese culture.

The screaming HAS to be, it is part of the background of kendo, behind the strikes and phisical activity there is the spirit and that energy has to be realeased, it is of course more intense in a real 1 on 1 fight.
