I am adopted and was fortunate to find my Birth Father due to a First Cousin DNA match. I found my Dad 6 weeks after his death. I have not found my Mom because they did not marry. I have been in contact with my Dad's family and they have been really receptive of me. Unfortunately no one remembers who my Dad dated around my birth date. I also found out that when my adoption was legalized, my original birth certificate was destroyed and I was issued a new one with my Adoptive Parents listed. I have looked for the orphanage I was in, but they no longer exist. I am looking forward to using these techniques to hopefully find my Birth Mother!

Will this work with Endogamy cases? I have a client who's birth father is from Puerto Rico and it seems everyone is related to everyone. She's got great matches. Lots of second cousins, but .... Although they all lead back to one particular family line, with very free exceptions, those matches all lead back to different grandparents and I can't find PR records that go back far enough to determine the set of great grandparents that lead to these different matches.
