Thanks Sam. I have learned how to "Skip" a Patch in my MainStage concert but I would like my patch change pedal to also skip that Patch when I tap the pedal for Next Patch. Can you direct me on how I might do that? Thanks again.

Hi Sam, do you have any info on Assignments & Mappings, please? For example I want to create 2 text boxes and in the first one have the current set displayed and in the second one the current patch number displayed. Many thanks.

Hi Chris, yes of course. If you head to the layout view and put in two 'parameter text' screen controls from the 'Screen Controls Palette'. Then in the edit view click the top of the patch list where the name of your Mainstage concert is. Select one of the screen controls you just put in, press the '+' in the screen control inspector at the bottom center of the window and go to actions -> current set or current patch number (depending on which one you want where). This will then set these text objects to display the information for each patch you create in the concert file. Hope that makes sense, any questions let me know!

@@samjohnsonmusician thanks so much! I wanted to ask a question regarding the onscreen volume meter - how do I get it display a range of 0-20 rather than 0-127?

Chris King you can get it to register 20 as full volume so that a midi controller sending between 0-20 sends 0-full volume but it doesn’t really change the slider visually. If that’s what you’re after you can open the screen control inspector for that slider (at the concert level) and click on scale parameter. If you drag the point from the top right and move it left you are changing the maximum midi cc number that is registered as full volume.

@@samjohnsonmusicianthanks, that's the effect I'm after but won't that change the actual output level? Maybe not but I just need it to display 0-20 in text format, not dB. Does that make sense? So the max output level should still be 0.0dB but I need to the display text to have a range of 0-20. Is that possible?

Chris King I don’t think it changes the actual output level just changes the proportion of cc data to dB level. If that’s not quite what you’re after I’m not sure if it’s possible to do it any other way to be honest!

Hi Sam, I want to use a pedal in order to move between my patch list. Is there any particular pedals you could suggest for this?

Hi Rhys, I currently use a BOSS FS-6, as it allows me to have a next patch and previous patch pedal in the same unit. Up until then though I just used a standard 'square' sustain button style pedal (like the BOSS FS-5U) which seemed to do the job just as well! If you're looking for more function the FS-6 might be the way to go though!
