I just talked myself out of this because I wanted to be able to add some effects on the top end only and it didn't seem like this could do it, but now it sounds like I may be able to sneak some in through the expression jack. Maybe I need to reconsider.

You’ve gotta add the thing about running insert cable in the exp socket to the manual guys! (I literally just spent 10 minutes staring at a gut shot from a German review trying to figure out how it might be possible to add one to run some effects on the dirty side only 😂).

I recently got mine and I´m liking it a lot. I enjoy having 3 channels for recording my bass into my interface, and that´s amazing. Having a clean, a dirty, and a blend of both channels at the same time Is something incredible.

​@@blacktincrow2495 the amp channel sends a blend of both cab sims (clean and dirty together) and I can connect it directly into one of the preamps in my audio interface or from my actual amp using its Direct Output. The difference is not huge but relative just in case you connect other pedals before or after the butler.

​@@palesamahave I missed something with this pedal. I got mine today. I've tried it. I don't think to much of it. Am I supposed to be running this into two seperate amps to get the best of it. At the moment I'm just going into my computer. From the amp output. It doesn't sound that great to me. But I'm new to pre amp pedals

I just got one of these. Am I alone in feeling like the dirty channel EQ doesn’t do much in terms of shaping the sound? I turned of the clean bass channel completely to hear just the dirty side and it’s very flimsy in its own. Anyone have any insight on using the dirty channel to its fullest?

How on earth do you not advertise an effects insert on the dirty channel? That’s a game changer. I’ve owned this pedal for a while and didn’t know that. I know people that gave sold these second hand because they wanted to effect the dirty channel only. Crazy.. 😂

God damn that's juicy. I think the live at leeds tone was a Hiwatt though, although he did use Sunn a couple years after

Long time for a reply! He used Hiwatt (or Sound City) DR103 heads with 4x12 cabs and sometimes 4x15 cabs: would’ve sounded great but probably weighed more than the tour bus

Who in the world there at Orange said it would be a good idea to actually use those sound clips?? I had to yank my ear buds out at the beginning. I own one already and love it though. Most of these sounds chosen in this vid just don’t do it justice.
