Although I agree his look is creepy, for me the way he speaks is missing some sort of menacing aspect. Because it almost sounds too....how do I say it...too young maybe? Like a teenager. For example at 3:49, the way he says "he's a nobody, wants to be somebody" meh maybe im being too nitpicky. Not against the idea of seeing him in a sequel though.

I swear to God that I had straight chills watching this scene. People complaining about Joker being repetitive or are "fatigued" by him can go and kick rocks somewhere else. Are people "fatigued" by Batman or Spider-Man or Marvel? I don't think so. I am already in love with Barry Keoghan's version of the Joker. So freaking satanic and insane. I love the aesthetic to him. The hair, the eyes, the voice, the smile caused by his birth defect, the look of someone who has survived being burned in a vat of chemicals (even though Matt Reeves stated that it isn't the case with this Joker). Everything about this was picture-perfect. I can't wait to see more of him down the line (but NOT in The Batman 2).

I very much love how this Joker knows the song and dance. He knows exactly what makes someone tick. I feel this incarnation taps really well into what Grant Morrison called Joker's "Super Sanity" from what we've seen in this scene. Morality is out of the window, bleeding out on the sidewalk for Joker, yet he can easily glance what someone's motives are due to his hyper intelligence. This Joker so far feels less like the force of chaos or humanity's dark mirror we've seen in TDK and The Joker, and more like a some sort of hyper-evolved predator, a manipulator who can see the strings everyone is tied to and pulls them at his own leisure.

I like what Matt Reeves did to both Riddler and Joker in this movie like Riddler is Zodiac killer while Joker is kind of like Hannibal Lecter in this scene. I understand why this scene was not made into final cut of the movie and it makes sense. Joker would have probably taken the spotlight in this movie instead of Riddler... smart move by Matt. It would be awesome to see Joker again in the sequel but as a side character or supporting character and introduce villains such as Hush, Hugo Strange, and/or Court of Owls. I'm guessing Joker would be the final villain in the trilogy. Great performance by Barry.

I feel like the Joker figures out more than Batman realizes when he points out that the violence is "so Baroque" (or to put another way, messy and irregularly shaped), while his puzzles are so meticulous. This is a huge clue that The Batman is overlooking HOW people were murdered and that it would make sense that The Riddler would be meticulous in the violence (murder weapon) as well.

To me, this is the type joker I’ve been waiting for, from what we got. The manipulating, maniacal, vastly intelligent psychopath with a grin. Love to see him manipulate villains into doing his bidding rather than him being the centrepiece within his own acts. Which reduces his screen time but the scenes you do get could be awesome. Also I think the movie is 1 year and 6 months in, so halfway through his second year.

The Batman 2 got the green light and of course Matt Reeves and Robert signed off on it too. I think there will be mentions of the Joker, but he won’t be the main villain. I think Reeves is going to dig into other Batman villains..those forgotten villains and will give them a different spin or version just like he did with Riddler. I heard other fans mention Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow (even though he was already in the Nolan/Bale Triology), Killer Croc (since Gotham is under water), and Poison Ivy. It will be interesting to see how Reeves can ground these kinds of villains and make them realistic/grounded. The Court of Owls + Joker can be an insane FINAL BOSSES for Batman/Bruce. Even Rob mentioned that The Court Of Owls would be something exciting and interesting to dig into in the next movie. I’m not sure if he’s saying for “spoiler” or hints for the next movie, but he seemed to be pushing for it.

Joker's always been my favorite villain so I'd love to see a Joker vs. Batman story in one of these movies. We haven't seen that since Suicide Squad 2016, and it wasn't really that good so the last actual live action Batman vs. Joker (Besides Gotham since that's a TV Show) was The Dark Knight in 2008. So I'd really love to see this happen sooner rather than later. Joker's always been the master manipulator. It's great to see the other villains take the spotlight too, but none can compare to the Joker when it comes to being a villain. Or Joker helps Batman out with another villain at large. But I do want The Joker involved somehow. Next film, Joker helps Batman with someone. At the end, Joker turns on Batman then the final movie it's Joker vs. Batman.

I would love a show like this, some what of a mind hunters like show in this Batman world. a series of these type of one on one with all the villain explaining their crimes. not sure if it would be batman doing the interviews. perhaps him, along with robin. or the current DA. hmm, I'm just riffing ... thoughts?
