Bruce transforms from the businessman persona into a determined crusader for justice. He's a man with a mission. He comes down to the cave, puts on his suit. His objective? This song perfectly imbodies Batman. For 90% of the theme, it was relatively quiet (cuz batman doesn't really take action immediately, rather plans) until the end when nobody expects it 5:52 where it suddenly rises (when he takes action when nobody expects it) and ends quickly at 6:25, where it returns to the normal level (when he leaves without a trace).
@khush23662 жыл бұрын
Without music, a superhero is incomplete. When we imagine ourselves in the cape, we dont hear huge wind sounds or sounds of the traffic, we imagine music, our very own theme song playing while we take off in the sky. In this world full of chaos, we make our own small worlds, which make sense to us. We are the 'Superheroes' of those small worlds. This is not just a Batman or a Bruce Wayne theme to me, it is a theme about any one of us, struggling from our own griefs, trying to get up, be better and get out in this cruel world to fight for what is right. This theme is our superhero theme. Micheal Giacchino, you are a genius!!!

I have a feeling it’ll play when Bruce and Selina are on screen together… The softness indicating something romantic or at least a definite connection but then as the theme starts to become darker, they turn away as they can’t have that kind of relationship right now. Then becoming epic again as it leads into Batman doing what he does best, the mission. Just a theory but pretty much what I saw listening to this. It’s a great theme.

It's the same interval (distance between notes) - as Something in the Way as well. 4th fret and open string, so to say. Thats why it's used throughout the film

I'm glad we're finally getting actual soundtracks to movies again. So many movies have generic soundtracks that don't make you feel anything. I want the music to be as much of a journey as the actual film, they should compliment each other, and this definitely does.

Exactly, this is what we need, especially in superhero films. Inspiring, emotional themes.

I'm not really understanding this comment. A century of movie soundtracks and we're only just now getting actual soundtracks? That's kind of insulting to a lot of great composers.

I’m still watching this movie till this day. One of the best Batman Films I’ve ever seen. This song was so perfect for the more into the detective side of Batman, but still clearly showing his relatively new at this and still needs training.
@-adarathecat-90112 жыл бұрын
I realized something about this theme: In the official trailer, the riddler asks the question "It can be cruel, poetic or blind. But when it's denied, it's your violence you may find..." The three most sensible answers would be justice, love, or vengeance. And this theme shows all three. The first half begins with a solemn theme of a hero (that is also seen in other superhero scores), which would symbolize justice. Then it slowly fades into a more beautiful and romantic theme, which symbolizes love. Then there is a bout of silence, as the percussion builds up and the rest of the orchestra builds into a much darker theme, which would represent vengeance. Notice how the "vengeance" part takes longer to build, which probably symbolizes that behind the idea of love or justice, what really fuels Batman is vengeance.

Bravo. Very interesting. I heard growth. A child who is blind to the world, then his innocence is slowly taken and the harsh reality inches it way in. Finally acceptance, and the "dark knight" is the final stages of growth with the bell tolls.

Doubt you can find love through violence ... and vengeance is never poetic ... its pretty straight forward ... justice is the only answer to the riddle. Waste your time not ours.

4:30 this part played during the moment when Batman approached and beat up the skull gang and it was genius. It made you see this situation from the gang’s perspective as it felt like a villain was approaching, rather than the actual hero. I knew that he won’t show any mercy to them and I also knew that they deserve it but I was still feeling a little anxious and had goosebumps
