One thing I never realized until just now. It's interesting that Joker was able to retain his personality while in Vampire form, unlike the others who seemed more like mindless drones. It makes me think that if you have a strong enough will, you can maintain some level of autonomy after being bitten.

Given that the three vampires Batman first encountered reported back to Dracula that they fought a man dressed like a bat even though we never actually heard them say it, my guess is that vampires retain most of their intelligence but become so aggressive and animalistic that it doesn't show. Joker, however, has far too broken of a mind and flamboyant a personality for all that to just be left behind.

That is a very real thing with other vampire myths and stories I have read. Certain people are too strong to control, unfortunately they make for the most dangerous ones too

This movie has some great shots especially with lighting in scenes. The blood bank scene in particular does a really creative way of censorship, granted we've seen blood in earlier scenes but the blood bank goes wild with joker chugging it down and dancing in it that it makes sense to sensor it, the lighting makes the blood look black and more tv friendly than if it were red in those shots

Ya changing the bloods color to black in that scene was a great idea.

I always thought it was black because the amount of blood was so thick and so much that it made it extremely dark colored, and the dark lighting.

I have a relationship of love and fear of this movie in 2008 I was 5 years old and I was watching this movie for the first time, we must agree that this movie is not “good” for children, I was always afraid of Dracula and this Gothic stretch, over time I started to appreciate it much more, and every time I watch it I am happy, at the time my house was very scary the neighborhood was very isolated and dark, I thought that the vampire version of Batman came after me lmao

this isn’t the movie anyone was expecting; especially ONE with severe limits on censorship and network rules... the sheer amount of blood that we see rivals anything I’ve seen in any movie. Animation is clean, high quality, Wish DCAU had this level of clarity.
