One thing I noticed, adults who were beaten and often berated as a kid, grow up to be funny and witty, it's like they use humor as a defence mechanism to cope with the trauma

Being the oldest child between me and my only sister (we are two years apart), I get the strict parenting. I experienced at 18 when I went to college and stayed with my parents cause I grew up with my grandparents. I don’t like to try anything new and also I’m stubborn cause I know what I’m doing even though to my folks the decision is not reasonable. I like to boss around my younger cousins around till now, sometimes I do the same with the folks too (do not boss the folks around). When it comes to discipline, I have to follow my parents’ timing cause punctuality is everything but to my sister not that much (this what I observe).

The actual title of this podcast, therapy session with Vivian. The amount of 'complain' abt the Korea trip. It keeps revolve around it

I feel so bad for Vivian who was under the emotional pressure of Soph especially, who was made to be uncomfortable just because she has stronger boundaries with who she wants to disclose about her day to. and the 'work friends' thing is completely normal, people are allowed to segment their circles for diff purposes, why do they need to be shamed for it? :(

Imagine growing up being placed and taken care by other people from the age of 3 onwards.... then being dumped into orphan home at 7/8 ... that's a next level messed up-ness .....

Nice but I think as an only child myself, I feel that I am like an introvert being an extrovert and we are basically a mesh of all the child syndromes at the same time constantly envy of others who have siblings.

I have watched your podcasts and your channel for the longest time ever and I just realised that minghan and mingyue are siblings... This whole time I thought it was just a coincidence that you guys had the same surnames.... You guys don't talk like siblings so I never got the clue.

i think things are different when the first and last child are the daughters and the middle child is the only son in the family. bro is being treated like a prince
