The Battle of Caen was bloody tough. Imagine going from landing on a beach with little opposition to heading inland and running straight into 8 elite SS Panzer divisions, 7 German infantry divisions and 3 Heavy tank battalions equipped with King Tigers, Jagdpanthers, Panthers and Panzer 4's fighting through a city for 2 months. The British army had it much rougher than people think.

Very well made and scripted scenario. Thank you. Quite moving as I lived in Caen for a while, late 1990s. Have always been into WWII history. Signs of the fighting can still be seen along the coast and in towns and villages, I had to ignore at times as it gets over-whelming. The bombing of Caen was possibly essential but horrific, bitter street fighting, savage fighting out on the plains, fighting at some of the bunker systems also must have been horrific for all involved. Was in a bar in Caen and an old man relived the day he heard British and Canadian troops arriving. A day he will never forget. He picked up a bar stool, turned it upside down, leaned it on his shoulder and made a loud, strange noise, after a second I realised he was 'miming' the bagpipes! 'Lest We Forget'.

Definitely an improvement over the last one you did, the WW3 episode. You are getting better with every episode, this is professional quality work. Amazing graphics, great draw distance, the sound's really good too - I like the voice work . Only criticisms I have are that when a German soldier stands in a window and is killed, its just a matter of seconds before another German soldier stands in the same window, and they too are killed. Personally, if I seen my compatriot's jaw flying across the room, I wouldn't stand in the position he stood in. Also, snipers also wouldn't stay in same place after shooting, they'd move. Soldiers running into open, they don't seem to look out the door before they run, or react when they see their squad mates being shot in front of them. Fear would make you look before you run, I'd probably also get MG42 firing some bursts for cover as my squad mates ran! :) Great work.
