Bullets still hurt and add up as chip damage even in-universe. They might not get pierced and die from getting shot, but enough concentrated gunfire will eventually break a halo. Not getting hit in the first place is still the best means of defense.

Her opponent, Asagiri Suou, have a def reduce effect after the shotguns barrage (Blue symbol), and Hoshino replace the plate and increase her deference(Red symbol), she is countering her opponent's skills

추측컨데.. 아마 예전 그러니까 유메회장전의 아비도스 학생회가 정상적인 조직으로는 안보임 열차포라는 어마무시한 병기를 게헨나의 뇌제의 도움이 있었지만 만들고 전시관에 숨겨놓는등의 행보와 거수표라는 어처구니없는 방법으로 후임을 떠맡기는등 기이한 행보들만 확인이 되고 있음 그런 학생회의 어떤 행보로 스오우가 아비도스에게 증오를 품게된거같음 후속 스토리를 봐야 자세한 과거를 알수있겠지만요
