The link works! However, since I only use a phone and have no computer I'll redirect my focus to Curiosity stream. But I will say this: The easiest way to get money from me is if it costs 5 bucks (no more) and it's a download from google play. I can then simply click on it an type a password. If sth costs 3 bucks I might even click on it just for fun. But 14.99? Well ya know ten lunches in a row. For a poor man. From Lidl. Anyway great upload thx!

And there are old books from him in the libraries, but he was already well "passé de mode" (ie "has been") in the 1990s when I studied history. Students who specialize in Slavic or Gernam studies may well know him better. I have never been advised a book from him by my teachers and I didn't opened one myself. Gods i love these so much! They offer a rare perspective that really makes you appreciate all the difficulty that goes into coordinating and commanding a cohesive force. They would have been attacked before they got to the clearning, and they still would have been attacked from the rear. We don't know if the ambush was already prepared or was just still being planned. But we do know that they might had a chance if they were able to cross before nightfall. Waiting until the next day gave the Pagans much needed time for the rear flank to execute.

@@Dayvit78 The other side of the river wasn't wooded, it was a clearing. So, non-marshy, non-wooded ground. The type of ground that medieval knights are the best on. So even if they did get attacked on that side, they would've still faired better than being attacked where they were. Excellent work here, sir. What made this work was the background info leading up to the battle. As this is an area of relative ignorance for me, without your setting the stag th battle itself would not have historical significance to me. So excellent job of knowing your audience and giving us some background. I'm no history no-nothing. It's a hobby. But there's so much of it, it's hard to know it all.

Dead channel, what a shame, it is literally the best history channel on KZbin. Honestly I'm obcessed with the style and I wish there was more like this. You really need to hire a full team and produce more content. King's and generals ain't bad but you can tell they rush their content

You should check out HistoryMarche as well, very similar to Baz and Kings

Epic history tv is pretty good too. Good maps and quality documentaries especially on the Napoleonic wars

I have to say love the videos. Thank you for the efforts you put forth in making this information available and entertaining to hear. War is a good teacher as to how humans behave. Not just the violence but the politicking and everything else that goes into it. By simply learning of battles you also pick up lots of information on the politics of the time. War is a window into the human psyche

@@flamingas Ā so its what we latvieši write as ē like in ēst and bēgt. The english used to have a longe where they write ee but nowadays it has become a long i and the really should get arround to writing it as ii.

I think I've watched most videos on this channel, as well as Kings and Generals and History Marche. If I've learnt one thing about warfare, it's that it doesn't matter how well armed you are, how motivated and well trained you are, how hard you fight or how well organised your individual units are, or hell, even if god is on your side: if you get outflanked, it's game over.

After watching Baz Battles and Kings and Generals it's so hard to watch those fantasy movies like The Lord of the Rings and they military tactics. All those military tactics in those movies makes me nervous of how noob it looks in comparison even with primitive real battles.
